That's pretty damn cool, someone else having pics of my car before I even owned it!!!
I did not realize the previous owner went to alot of events, but there are two of you on Rennlist who have seen the car before. Thank god the owner was dying to get a GT2 or I never would have ended up with the car!!
Thanks for the pics Luis.
Thanks again to everyone. I am very happy. Now I am going to sneak out of the bedroom and go sleep in the garage!!!! ;-)

I do not mind sharing that at all. If it helps preserve the value of 993's (not that they need any help).
I paid $77,500 for the car with all those mods, and that included the original hollow spokes with brand new S-02's, the original exhaust, a car cover, two bras, original stereo and some other random parts.
I feel the car is worth that alone due to the condition and low miles and feel I might have even got a deal on it. When you add in the other parts to get a dollar value I felt it was a no-brainer.

Robert...a little quick math says...if drive @ the current P.O.rate...1500mi/yr you will be in need of your first Porsche recommended oil change in a bit over a year......hmmmm change the oil every 10 years??? Add that to your list!!!!!

The car is smiling right now, because she knows she was just bought by someone who likes to drive....ALOT more than 1500 miles per year. Nevertheless, the P.O. changed the oil once a year regardless of miles and had a battery tender installed to preserve the battery. He definitely put some thought into keeping the car in tip top shape. Yeah for me!!

Robert-
Thanks for sharing the cost. I'm one of those guys who doesn't mind paying a FEW extra dollars for the right vehicle and I would say that you did in fact get THE RIGHT vehicle.
Absolutely gorgeous, good luck and I really like the front spoiler too. That would look nice on my C4S, (which also has a turbo tail)...

Late to this party, but Congrats on an absolutely gorgeous car! I, too, never thought I'd own a G.Red Porsche as there were soooo many in the 80s. But when I saw mine when on the hunt, I had to cave. It is a stunning color, and a real head turner (turned mine!), if I do say so myself Enjoy it in good health!!!
Jonathan,
I tried to PM you ...box is full.
There is much written on getting a good, deep gloss. Two camps: synthetic and natural. What I've found works well on my G.Red is 3M glaze, then followed up with P21S. It's a natural carnuba that not only goes on/comes off easily and effortlessly, but it imparts a very deep, wet gloss that is a beauty to behold. It really is a superb finish and can't speak highly enough of it.

from what I have seen, $77k is pretty good price for what you got....
Edward, i am a bit of a detail nut... i use Einszett products on my paint, followed by a dawn wash, and then the entire Zaino process... certainly , the carnubas tend to leave a deep wet look more so than the synthetics...as i mentioned, i think the synthetics look a little sterile. i use the zaino system (synthetic) because the longevity is astonishing... i will clean out my mailbox so that i can get some messages. this particular GR finish is one of the better waxed/polished i have seen, so it will be interesting to see what they used. my guess is that it is P21S...but it also looks like it was glazed...
