I would surely check ALL of the HT cables before springing for coils.
You can do that with a spray bottle filled with water and then misted over all of the plug wires and coil wires in a dark area (with the engine running, of course). Increases in corona will show any electrical leakage and what needs replacement.

Thanks Steve, I will check that out! I know a couple of the HT cables are not in the best shape (the ones on the lower bank) so I will start with those. Too bad you can't order each cable separately....the upper ones look new.

Have you checked the resistance of the ignition coils with a multimeter? Do you have access to an oscilloscope?
