(I'd say when he capitalizes, it's best we all listen very closely...)

Teammates, any other thoughts, perspectives, whatever on this noob candidate?

Well, I'd say that Jumpin' Joe's push for a quick answer is out of line with many of the team mottos. I think we need to take more time on this one. What's the rush?

Good point, Adrienne, I say we sweat him a bit longer. (I can say that since I'm safely 2,000 miles - 3200 klicks - away)

Normally I'd have to say, in HWFMR tradition, that it should remain a slow and arduous process but the Col. deserves a green light... GO!

Hey Mike, you don't think he has the ability to call in air support. Just another sorte.

Is Glenview air station still in operation?

Nope, it's shopping, light industry and home to about 8,000 new residents.

I kinda miss the circling C-130s, Orions, and the Blue Angels for Air and Water Show week. None of those C-130s were gunships, but with the colonel, ya never now.

I do like your team title suggestion for Jumpin Joe, Alan.

Joe
Most of the titles have been bestowed my moi or clever teammates, although ceboyd created her own. tee-hee-hee

Yeah, I remember now. My dad, the old Navy wig, with bragging rights to the best mashed potatoes in the armed services, used to take me there as a kid. I was always impressed with the way the Navy treated us whenever we would go there, I felt like I was with Ike himself.

Hey youngins, that's old timer's talk.

Frankly, I must apologize for urging you on to a vote, especially since I am sans GT3 still. My yellow beauty was to have been delivered to me last Friday, then today, then tomorrow, but looks like next Tuesday or Wednesday now. I sent it back as I was most displeased with the paint on the hood. In the meantime, I am relegated to driving the SL55 or S8, but did see a very nice CLS55 AMG for sale today!!

Now, as to air support, I have a good friend who flies op forces in the Top Gun school. I should be able to call in his services if/when needed. I also have another buddy who is a cannon cocker. He's most adept with 8" tubes. (Who gets excited when I talk like that? Go ahead, raise your hand.) No coverage on the water, though. OldGuy will have to handle that ops area.

Well our fellow team mate EJ flew with a Latin American Air Force, but I'll bet the Colonel's buddies have a lot more seat time. Alan's probably right.

So congratulations, Jumping Joe, you're in. Even without your GT-3.

For your title, I like "Driver and Minister of Defense", or Adrienne's "HWFMR Special Forces" or "Driver, Airborne Operations". But I am open to a title of your own creation.

Let's hear it for our newest team mate.

(And I don't want you guys responding to the Colonel with "Sir, YES SIR!"
That's reserved for me.)

How's about "Driver and Minister of Offense" since my driving can be rather offensive at times?

Also, how do I get decals, cap, and any other things to put on the car to make it slower?
