Sorry, I'm late to the party. So it appears the decision has been made on your application....
...however, if you would like to win my support, please fax me some of those red leather pants the Marlboro Grid Girls wear.

Yes, go for it!! Put you Official HWFM post in your signature. You were approved a long time ago. The Official "Hey Wait For Me" Gird Girl Post *****. It has a certain ring to it doesn't it?? Hmmm... unless you choose to word it somehow differently

I can't believe that our Grand PooButt Master Royal Turtle Mike has been asleep at the wheel and hasn't notified you yet. I think a spanking is due, Royal PooButt or not!

Now how about posting a Grid Girl Pic on Mike's 993 Open House thread as your first official duty? Those guys have been asleep for a while and need something to rile them up. Just remember to keep it clean because we don't want Mike'st thread to go bye, bye too soon into the Abyss................
And while you are getting some of those red vinyl pants for Adrienne get me a pair too! Oh and I want the matching bikini top.

After you get their pants off for Adrienne and JoAnne, and a top for JoAnne, please post more pictures of the Marlboro grid girls in the grid girls thread.

It's been about a year that I've been on Rennlist. Right after subscribing (and paying up), I ran into West Coast HWFMR member Tom Weber. Thankfully, it was at a P-car gathering and not on Laguna Seca.
I asked Tom about joining HWFMR since I consider myself to be most able to go slow in a fast car. Tom pointed me to the 993 Forum, so after a year I thought it was about time I got around to it.
As to my qualifications: I used to jump out of airplanes, and the fastest I was able to go was 124 mph. No matter what I did, that was it.
I had a '93 RX-7 mod'd to 332 rwhp. I was able to go faster than 124 mph in that, but never could break the 160 mph barrier. Something about scaring the s..t out of myself as the front end started looking for someplace else to go except straight.
Then I had a '99 Porsche C2, and I went real s l o w with that. Going from about 380 hp to whatever the C2 slug had makes me eminently qualified for HWFMR, don't you think?
If not, I did smarten up a bit, and bought a 993TT, AWD, upgraded ECU, great suspension. Made it to 174 mph, but don't tell the NV HP. It must have been an illusion. But still trying to figure out how the Mini CooperS kept passing me at Thunderhill Raceway. Must have forgotten to bring in the anchor.
Then I bought an '04 GT3. Why, you 993 guys ask? I don't know. But in Speed Yellow it looks fast. Unfortunately, it's been out of commission for about 5 weeks getting its front-end repaired. Forgot how the tail-end comes around when you lift, and how to use the brakes, and how the tail-end comes around when you lift, and how to go two feet in, so stopped it by running into a the tire barrier on the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca. Saved brake pad wear, huh?
Can I join, huh, huh, can I join?? I wanna go to Le Mans!!!

Jumpin Joe,
In your favor... you hijacked someone else's membership application and spun it in your own. Lazy. Nice. You tweaked up a virtually new GT3 due to your ineptitutde, and you're man enough to confess your sins. Incompetant. Nice. I think you have all of the makings for "the team". In order to get a full-fledged membership, you need to have the backing of the AARP Representative. A six-pack of any decent (ok... forget the decent part) beer can almost ensure you of the required backing. Will you be at the rumble to pay the bribe?

How dare you catch me at plagiarism. I am not in the least embarassed. I did not use Cliff Notes, though!!
I will be at the Rumble. I'll be there Friday afternoon as I'd never get there on time if I left Half Moon Bay Saturday morning. 55 mph would never make it!! And the beer will be warm.

I will gladly use my long-expired Class D license to improperly train anyone foolish enough to listen to my jump stories. It would be with well-deserved humility that I would consider this lowly position. However, consider how much more fun it would be to sky-dive into an event rather than crawling in under a fence.
