BTW, it appears we will have to eliminate this thread as it is having a significant negative impact on GDP....

As team's secretary or first mate (?) or whatever the Boss will deside , after the design gets cleared through our legal council (Dan) I'm willing to send the art to my helmet painter who did a fantastic job and make the vinil logos and stickers. We also have to decide on the T/shirts, hats and other merchandise and find a way to share the cost. I think our founder will have to set the by-laws with legal so noone has hard feelings

So here is a short list of who is onboard the team so far and the roles assigned (by order of joining).

#1. Mike in Chi Team Owner, Founder and lead Driver
#2. Danny (ME ) Secretary (?) First mate (?)/ Slowest driver
#3. Eric in Chi, Chief Driving Instructor/ Driver
#4. Phil, Team Promoter and Sponshorship Director /Driver
#5. Dan in St.Louis, Team Legal Council/ Driver
#6. Mark (Hermosa), Team Anchor / Driver
#7. Anir , Team Doctor / Driver
#8. Robert H, Research Director, Engineering Advisor / Driver
#9. Kim, Parts and Modifications Director/ Driver
#10. Fred R , Role (?) / Driver
#11. Ray Calvo, Team Good Will Ambassador
#12. JohnFM, International team representative, Club UK
#13. E.J, Training Director (?) / SFR Driver
#14. Greg Fishman, role (?)Team Racing Coach (?) / Driver (our fast guy )
#15. Chris, Dallas chapter/ DIY team

Any others?
This is sooo much fun!

Me too!

Damn, two seconds away, and this post is like 100 pages...

Since I'm the only Finn so far, there must be a place for me too.

We know how to slide (Kim, I don't mean slide it in, this is something else), maybe there is opening for something related to that?

And I (at least used to) know how to play slide guitar, maybe a sliding entertainer/driver position for me? (Oh no, Phil propably will comment more on this entertainer issue...)

If nothing else, we Finns are know to be as good drinkers as those Irish baaastards!
We have to be, since we do NOT like cupgholders in our cars!

I promise I'll 'fly' (drive) reeaally low and slow.

Glen

DJ is not the team owner, and would be highly insulted. He's much too fast anyway.

However, since you are so confused, you belong on this team. Welcome!

Finn

You're in. Since one of the team slogans is "We never Finish first, but we always Fin(n)ish." you have to be a member of the team.

Congratulations!

Teammates:

As to the logo. changed my mind - it's part of the team code, usually done in the midst of trying to brake late, by the way -- here's the pick for team logo:

All the designs are great. Way to go guys.

Princeton, I love your orignal racing turtle, minus the wheel outline in the lower left. It will be used on the stickers, headers, and primary logo applications.

First Mate Danny, since we are as much about socializing as sport, your origanal #2 is the official team party animal. We will find suitable applications.
And thank you for initiating this.

And I love Danny's idea for Vinny's image as a T-shirt, and team poster.

I hope this sits well with everyone, but I have to retain my rights as the founder.

If you have any complaints, please address them to Dan, out Team Legal Counsel.

Got to work a lot today, I'll try to catch up later.

Glen you are too fast my friend You have to promise no more podium finishes ! But of course like Mike said you are welcome to join. What is your expertise?

Finn maybe you can assume the role of drift coach to teach us the slowest line on the track going sideways! Like our founder says you have to promise you are going to be using what you teach! No Flying Finn stuff here!

John I do not think we limit our membership to 993 owners only. Any slow drivers with a P Car or past P car owner and Rennlist Membership are eligible I believe. Mike correct me if I'm wrong! Now if you want to join the lunny 993 world we can send a letter to your wife

Mike you are the undisputed team owner and our Leader but I think I reserve the slowest driver spot in the team

Here is the updated list then:

#1. Mike in Chi Team Owner, Founder and lead Driver
#2. Danny (ME ) Secretary (?) First mate (?)/ Slowest driver
#3. Eric in Chi, Chief Driving Instructor/ Driver
#4. Phil, Team Promoter and Sponshorship Director /Driver
#5. Dan in St.Louis, Team Legal Council/ Driver
#6. Mark (Hermosa), Team Anchor / Driver
#7. Anir , Team Doctor / Driver
#8. Robert H, Search ****, Engineering Advisor / Driver
#9. Kim, Parts and Modifications Director/ Driver
#10. Fred R , Role (?) / Driver
#11. Ray Calvo, Team Good Will Ambassador
#12. JohnFM, International team representative, Club UK
#13. E.J, Training Director (?) / OPR Driver
#14. Greg Fishman, role (?)Team Racing Coach (?) / Driver (our fast guy )
#15. Chris, Dallas chapter/ DIY team
#16. Chaz, Fan Club Director
#17. Mark from Baltimore ( Miss Julie ), Entertainment Director
#18. David, Team Accountant
#19. Princeton, Creative director ( from interiors to art)/ driver (?)
#20. Sean, Team Hacker, Our Computer Geek
#21. Matt, Team Mascot / Role Model Driver
#22. Vinny, Team Webmaster
#23. Glen, Driver, He is fast but we will help him slow down!
#24. Finn, Team drift and slow line coach under Chief Instructor Eric / Driver

Thank you Mike!

I'll accept my team member status with honor.

With that slogan, I think we have found a tactic to go to Le mans! We'd have plenty of drivers and everyone would just drive slow as h*ll and that would guarantee our finish, even with stock 993 (if our car doesn't get hit by Audi going 300+ at Mulsanne when we are doing 100...)

As a new member, I'd like to suggest something.

As pretty much non of us have front licence plate in our cars and it seems hard to get W8FERME plate to everyone, how about if everyone makes team vanity licence plate on front, some suggestions:

4 and E will obviously be little screwed up, but for this team, maybe that's not a problem...

Or if we want it to be 'perfect' with lettering, this would be nice and desperate:

or just short and simply:

So since today its my brainstorming day, I have another idea...

Are we going to host a team's website so we can post our pictures, bio's and track accomplishments ( or better the lack off )? I guess it has to be very limited in pics because of size, maybe one per member so cost would not be a factor and noone would have a burden hosting it...

I'm not sure how these things work...Just thought it would be neat.
What do you guys think?

Sounds good here.

I think my one picture will be of our team's chief mechanic and helmet tester, Elizabeth ("Chim Chim").

Glen,
I can vouch for you and have an idea for a job title: Procurer of Slightly Used Racing Parts. For those that don't know, Glen is terrific to do business (I have become a good customer) with and he has bargain basement pricing
