Mike, After my last race and managing to go from the pole in class to 4th, I think that I more than qualify for this group.
Anir, I saw the black flag in one practice session and I immediately pitted, no idea that I had done anything wrong just figured it was for me, always is. Apparently it wasn't, so maybe my luck is turning...

Eric:
With all due respect, I think the chief driving instructor position goes to me. At 280 lbs (crap, I gained 10 lbs at the last TracQuest dinner), I will definitely slow down any car I am invited to instruct in.
Adding 10% to the weight of any 993 should slow us down a bit.

Though Im not a member of this club I thought I would give my suggestion for a logo. When I see the name I think of a guy (or you could do the turtle) sitting in a 993 with his feet on the ground and his hands picking up the car running with the car. Sort of a Flinstones type of deal. I am working on a drawing of this if anyone is interested in seeing it..

You're in on the founder's rule anyway -- just don't let this qualifying on the pole get to be a habit.
Mark - you are indeed uniquely qaulified. However I have to go by time of post which means it's Eric's. Other important roles are still open - Team Heavyweight, Team Big Kahuna and Team Ballast.
Any of those appeal to you?

I think you have a different way of thinking. Good luck with your organization.

Why don't you just call it the "annoying avatar group". It is very fitting for you. Where is that seizure avatar when I need it...

If Hank hadn't forgotten to change his clock due to daylight savings time I might not have been on pole. Thanks Hank. He did the best piece of driving before he got to the track 50+ miles in about 20 minutes, and then took the same car out onto the race track! Hank is way too good for this group.
DJ gave me some good advice about not using the brakes and staying on the throttle longer as it will end the suspense sooner. Mark told me that when he is scared on track he just closes his eyes. I tried this in turn 12 and I dropped about a second off my time. Go figure.
