Talking 997 Viewing and open house at Rusnak

Rusnak Porsche in Westlake had a nice catered open house with a grey 997 and a black 997 S on the showroom floor. I met Rennlisters Ed, Scott Shepley, FB Fisher, Oldguy (all the way from Ridgecrest) and me. Here's a picture of FB, oldguy and me in front of oldguys's midnight blue TT. FB is the tall dude.

Then a few of the 997 pictures, including a close-up of the carbon brakes on the S. Then old guy & I took a little drive out to hidden valley and the Sherwood Country Club.

Funny, at Pacific Porsche in Torrance they had the same two 997 color-combos there, as well -> a grey 997 and a black 997 S.

Thanks for sending the pics, Steve. I've already had the pleasure of meeting OG, but now at least I know what you & FB look like.

Carlsen in Redwood City has the same color combo in their showroom, too. Must be "the look" this year. Bunch kids in there in Google t-shirts snapping them up right and left, just kidding.

Beasley in Austin had the same color combo, and ceramics on the S as well.

Well, I admit to bias, but I find the 993 turbos look terrific (much more so than the 997).

At Jim Ellis. They too had the same color combo. Silver C, and a Black S with the PCCBs

Must be part of the marketing?

I got the invite to Rusnak, but couldn't make it up to Westlake today. Am very keen to see the 997. unfortunately, it looks so good, i might be tempted.

Saw them today- all of the dealers got a black/black S with ceramics and lots of other extras. Does look good with the yellow calipers. The std wheels on the regular Carrera looked pretty plain and small in comparison. The instruments look good, more like the older 911's compared to the 996. How will you ever lower the S though with its active suspension? Can't figure out how people are going to mod that???

Your 993TT's look better than the 997's.
