Cool

Why has no one mentioned THE SMELL! Nothing smells like a 993. The combination of Leather and all that hot oil! I love climbing into my car after it's been closed for a few days!

Gotta go... takes a while to remove the car cover... I just talked myself into driving the P-car to work today!

#15 - the sound of the door closing.

Nothing else sounds like it - or looks likes it!!

Great Top 10.

I always found the doors, while they close nice and heavy, do not sound as solid as other cars. Especially when you open them...on both 911 that I have owned the seals on the door put pressure on the door, so when you open the door its not quiet but results in a loud mechanical noise. For a high end car the door mechanisms are not the great...and don't even get me started on the crummy ($#(*)# door check strap problems.

Hey, just my two cents!

How about the smooth rolled edges of the front and rear fenders? No cheap, quick stamped square edge.

How about all those sensuous body curves that flow from surface smoothly to the next? The ones that feel so nice when you hand wash or wax the car. Few if any ugly cut lines in the flowing body work.

How about those windshield wipers parked right in front of your face?

I agree with Mike on the doors. My new Accord has doors that close with a sturdy "thunk" as if they were solid. However, the favorite thing on my 993 is the big a$$! Sorry, the big, low a$$!

1. The noise of an air-cooled flat-six sucking through a motorsound airbox, blowing through Robin's RSRs, and popping and crackling through tunnels on overrun.

2. The classic 911 silhouette

3. I like slim women but i love my car's fat ****

4. The tacho being the only easily interpreted and highly visible instrument

5. If i apply more power mid-bend she tucks in and holds a TIGHTER line! How many other cars do that? Only one that i've driven, the Noble M12... but all you hear in the Noble is boost, right up until the point it breaks away.

I think the first 3 are all i need.
