BAR Drive? Monterey Historics/Concorso Italiano
We haven't had a BAR drive in a while and I figured it might be fun to drive down to Monterey for either the Historics and/or the Concorso. I can't do Friday but Saturday or Sunday would be fine.
Any interest, anyone?

Jauder:
I would not recommend Sat. or Sun. for a drive as there are many traffic controls around the Monterey area to handie the influx of Histrorics attendees. Jusy about every car club / junkie shows up in mass ;^)
You would be best off to pick a meeting place everyone can find and enjoy the event as a group.

BTW, the Concorso Italiano is on Friday. They claim to have the parking worked out this year. Great event. I'd highly recommend it. The Historics absolutely RULE, though. Walk, if you have to. Just don't miss the Historics!

Jauder, if you're planning to be at the Race on Sunday, pls turn on your cell-phone
I'll be there on Sunday and I'll try to call you. I'll be going with a friend and I won't be driving so I can't join you for the drive.
Btw how was TH yesterday?

Thunderhill was VERY VERY hot but it was a lot of fun. There were quite a few offs but nothing serious at all. John showed up out of the blue and was busy tearing it up. It was too hot to run the last open lapping session so I packed up and went home.
Bob had a very special car there on display, if you have time you might want to swing by the shop this week.
I'll try to post some pictures later.

Here are some pics that Pete took from yesterday event (nice):

Hey, I am picking up a car in LA Friday, and I wanted to drive PCH from LA to Monterey before cutting over to I-5. I would probably hit the road a little before noon on Friday and I want to spend the night in say Sacramento or someplace. Am I nuts, should I just stick with I-5? I don't mind a little traffic getting through Monterey, I just don't want to get stuck doing 35 mph all the way up PCH. I want to be back in Seattle late Saturday night.
Thoughts?
