Window switch

The drivers side control of the passenger window has seized. When I try to use it, it pops the fuse that controls the sunroof and drivers window too.
Last time I replaced a switch, it didn't match visually to the existing switch. Color was a little different possibly from age or maybe it was an aftermarket part.
I was thinking about just changing all 3 switches at the same time so they all match. Driver control for driver window, driver control for passenger window and passenger control for passenger windows.
Anyone want to recommend where I should source these parts? Do I need OEM? Am I being wasteful replacing all 3? or who cares?
If you really want the plastic to match, get all three of the aftermarket and you'll be fine for yeeears!
Fwiw, if you're set on the OE, Sunset Porsche in Oregon has been a great source for me for over a decade. Just know that the internet price (ordering on their website) is cheaper than a phone order, IIRC.

The Porsche-branded switches are out of Taiwan now and are not as reliable or durable as the ones formerly made in Germany. I would figure out why you are blowing a fuse rather than just replacing them all with an inferior design. If the failed switch is one of the original designs made in Germany, it can be popped open and fixed as a kitchen table project. The guts are simple, and any problems with them will be self-evident.

If the fuse blows as soon as you put it in, it is most likely a switch.
If it blows when one of the switches is actuated, it may be a bad motor drawing too much current or a switch. If it is the electric motor, only one of the two window motors is most likely the problem.
All these switches can be tested with a continuity tester or an ohm meter.
The motors can be tested by comparing the Ohm value of both window motors. They should measure a similar ohm value. If one has a significantly lower ohm value across its connectors, then the one with the lower ohm value is likely the bad one.

Andy you are always a wealth of information. I'm pretty sure the fuse is blowing because the passenger window switch is getting stuck. It's seized.
Easiest thing for me to do is replace the switch. I'm quite certain that's the problem.
I'll report back after I switch it out.

Gonna just buy the pelican parts ones. Just thought it would be good to share with the forum in case anyone thought the ebay ones were okay.

Yes, I've bought the ones from Pelican for decades (for both 993 and the SC) and they look good and simply work. Period. eBay is a roll of the dice as to what you actually will get in your hands IME.

I decided to install it before paying for a new switch with the fear the new OEM switch might feel the same way so might as well try the ones I had in hand.
Installed the inexpensive one from eBay. It works fine!
