I'll look for you at the concours. My dad will love your vette; he used to own one (albeit not a split window). If I find you, you can use my car to pimp your Rejex... I just finished the second coat and it looks fabulous. I clayed it and buffed it beforehand, so the paint is soooo smooth.

Barry, How often do you suggest applying rejex?

Barry, I would have posted this in the 911 group, as it's a 911 concern, but how does rejex behave on the black centers on fuchs wheels?

Thanks,

DMA

Rejex is a very durable polymer. the bottle states "a minimum of 4 months". there are people on rennlist who haven't washed their car in 3 months. they just clean it off with an instant detailer spray once a week.

i would suggest applying RejeX every 4 months, or more.

dma550

if the black centers on the Fuchs wheels is smooth metal (painted or clear-coated), then RejeX will help bring out the black color, and keep them as clean as the rest of the wheel. if the centers are not smooth, then Rejex shouldn't be applied to them. you can apply RejeX to any smooth metal or plastic surface, even the clear film protectants on the front bumper & hood.
it will protect and shine these surfaces like crazy.

thanks for the posts.

New Rejex convert. Previously used Blitz and then recently Zaino. Dawned, dried, clayed, and then 3M hand polished. Rejex applied easier than anything I've used before, including Nufinish. Came off just as easy. Nice gloss, "slick as snot" as someone said previosuly.

Great stuff - just hope it lasts as long as everyone says it does.

ammo_collector

thank you very much for the post. i appreciate you for taking the time to convey your experiences with RejeX. and yes, it does go on easy, and it's safe for your paint. no free silicones.

let us know about your durability, how well it shines back up after a rain, how easy brake dust comes off, etc.

regards,
barry

See my thread on "just applying rejex, wow", or something to that effect.
Incredible results, nothing compares. Maybe only Zaino, just maybe and that's a real big if. In fact, if it's as durable as proclaimed then nothing compares, THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE. Anyway, check out my thread and take a look at this shine baby.

Has anyone used Rejex on marine products? I think this might work well on my boat/seadoo. Can I expect any problems with this application? Just a little worried about the fiberglass and the fact that it will end up sitting in the water directly.

I think this might be particularly good for the buildup of exhaust stains I get on my seadoo. From what has been said they should just wipe off. Right?

RejeX is utterly fantastic in the marine environment. if you have any specific questions about your application(s), please contact j.d. hill at 800-638-7361. he's the resident guru on all things RejeX in the marine world.

thanks for your interest in RejeX, and for your post.

just ordered a bottle and excited to give it a go. just wanted to pass along that after speaking with one of the phone reps, he confirmed (perhaps y'all already knew) that this product won't remove the mild swirl marks that a wax would. so it sounds like the idea is to have the paint looking good first-- however you go about that--, then apply the wonder product for a silly-high-shine.

Update for me... I washed the car, clay bar'ed it (had tons of junk on it, amazing how much crap was on that paint... clay was black!) then washed again. Rejexing took me only 45 minutes, did the windows as well.

The 20 year old paint looks great now, lots of shine, and makes obvious that Porsche laid the paint on the car very carefully (in comparison to the orange-peel-mobile, my wife's 2004 Nissan Quest). The surface is very slick, and even my kid's greasy little hands don't muck it up

One thing... what should I use when I wash, to avoid removing rejex?

dma550

very cool, thanks for the kind words.

soap does not remove RejeX the way it removes waxes. RejeX is designed to be a durable barrier coating that is not affected by soaps, detergents, oils, acids, solvents, fuels, and other corrosive contaminants that can find their way onto your car. plus, it lasts a long time. you shouldn't have to RejeX again for several months.

please let me know if you have any other questions. i'll be happy to answer them here, or on the phone. and, the group buy discount is still on, so it's $16.09 and $2 shipping to any address for rennnlist members and visitors.

thanks,

barry
