Default Windstop mounting hardware question

Got the windstop I scored off eBay. Looks like its in excellent shape.

One side of the windstop mount has a bracket with a red button and a wire. I can't figure out how the wire mounts in the bracket to hold in the red button (duhhhhhh). Anyone have a schematic or words of wisdom?

cool.....
once you have the windstop installed on your car, you'll be able to wear the clown wig without a chin-strap !!

Lol, Max...

OK, question #2. On the right side mount, there is a arm with a red snap button that swings 360 degrees. What does it mount to? It looks like I need to afix it to something to get the windstop to stay vertical... otherwise it just lays down.

Ir you are referring to the driver's side, there is a ball and socket clasp which then is secured by rotating the plastic cap over it. It won't function automatically without locking it in this manner. Instructions and diagram are in the manual as well.

Dr Z is correct. I HAD the instructions to my windscreen and still spent 20 min. trying to figure it out. Factory instructions arent much help at all - the diagrams are the size of very very small ants.

Richard let us know if youre still stumped and maybe I can snap a pic or something.

Glad to hear it came in great shape !

Be careful with the ball and socket alignment on the drivers side - mine has a tendency to come free and SLAM down on the heads of the passengers (when closing the top) - lucky I am 6'5 and - It always hits me first . . . .

OK, it seems like I'm missing this ball and socket part. I'll call the dealer and try to dig one up. Thanks for the help guys.
