Default Need CS/930 steering wheel install help

I’d like to install this ATIWE 32 Club Sport/930 style wheel on my 993. I just removed a FVD ATIWE air bag wheel (which wb for sale). I bought the CS wheel from another RLer that had it on his 964 but have no instructions. I’d like to keep the horn functioning and eliminate the airbag warning lights. I’ve searched and read about the resistors and reset but can’t find any instructions to install this kind of wheel. The existing hub doesn’t have any room to get the existing wires into the hub. Do I need a different hub or adapter that what I have pictured? I can’t figure how the horn pad attaches either? Any help is appreciated.

only hardware included

If it’s anything like the Momo, you’ll need new top & bottom covers around the indicator stalk and a concertina bellows from the 964. IIRC you take off the clock spring and cut off the airbag connector (or buy a used clock spring from einmalig) to wire in the resistor. The horn just switches to chassis.
search for Momo wheel replacement. I think Tosi did the definitive write up.

Thanks. Read that one but can't find anywhere how to assemble the rings, hardware, the 2 hub wires, and horn pad/spring. Thought I could maybe use a Momo hub but they are all 6 hole and this is a 3 hole wheel.

Plan on using this for the airbag lights

I used a momo hub when I installed a CS wheel. Mostly because I was replacing the RS wheel that I didn't like. I have a momo hub, Jwest eccentric, and atiwe to momo adapter plate

The adapter is hard to see but is closest to the steering wheel.

Ok, figured most of it out and will post pics and hints here. Although I haven't figured out the 2 wires in the hub. One is probably horn as it’s connected to the brass on the back of the hub in the first pic. Guessing that connects to the outer horn silver ring with the tab on it. The second wire I’m guessing is ground and probably goes with the silver tab in the second pic but not sure where to mount that?

After reading some Pelican early 911 posts, here’s what I figured out so far:

Once the wheel is attached to the hub, the first thing into the wheel is the black plastic ring that serves as a holder for the big spring and eventually a mount for the 3 round plastic guides.

Over that goes the the inner flat silver ring with the lip down or towards the wheel.

Then screw in the 3 flat blade screws to hold those rings to the wheel.

Place the spring into the hole and the black plastic ring will hold it.

The outer silver ring with the tab and raised ridge facing inward then goes on top of the spring.

While compressing the spring into the wheel, screw in the 3 round black plastic guides to the posts of the first black ring that are sticking thru the inner silver ring attached to the wheel. One bushing has 2 straight edges and that’s for the hole below the tab. Make sure the smaller end of the guides go forward so the ring can move back and forth. Don’t tighten too much as the outer ring will then be making contact to the inner ring and horn will be stuck on.

The horn pad should then snap into the outer horn ring

Also, there should be a round clear plastic insulator on the outer ring to insulate the spring from the outer ring. Without that, I read the horn will be stuck on.

black plastic ring secured by inner horn ring. screwed to the wheel

Plastic insulator

Outer horn ring screwed in with tension to push and activate horn.

Thoughts on connecting that second wire and silver tab?

Too late now but you shouldnt have taken that apart, the screws can easily pull through the plastic. The only screws that you need to touch are the 3 big silver flat heads. Standard boss from Aitwe and your good to go as per the links on here

Not sure what you mean 911PERVY, nothing was assembled to begin with? What is a Atiwe boss? Do you mean the hub? Will the hub I have not work?

No the boss you have is fine and will work great. Someone took it all apart then, no reason for this at all, it can only cause problems with the horn contact

Ok, so got the wheel installed and picked up the bridge from Pelican to eliminate the air bag warning but not sure where to plug it in?

Also, I have 2 wires on the inside of the hub but only one tab. Any idea where to attached the second wire and which one goes on the tab?

OK, finally found this on the bridge.

Edit-Crap, nothing like that in my center console either.
Has anyone used the bridge on a 993?

Now just need to figure the 2 wires for horn!

If the horn button already connects to ground then you don’t need that wire/terminal. My button was insulated with two terminals.

That bridge plug is not for a 993, its for a 968 or 964. You need to splice into the wiring and add a resistor manually on the 993

Not sure what you mean? The horn ring/button has one tab for one of the wires but I don't know what/where to connect the second wire to. I tried each wire to the ring tab but got no horn.

Anyone have an idea?
