So your plan is to install those 4 jacks on YZ and modify them into air jacks somehow??? I think you will be adding a lot of weight there..

Great news, I was a little concerned that we wouldn't find enough for the buy and my Walmart special would have to continue in service. Scary! Can't wait for my new toy.

Jamie, perfect timing! Thank you for working this deal for us.

Ok, here's my situation. Obviously the DK13HLQ is the preferred way to go, but will the DK20 still work? I have 993 with a bit higher ride height than RS (PSS-9 etc...), and pretty much make do with a standard Craftsman lift.

Shall I tally up the extra $100 for the DK13, or will the DK20 suffice? I see most are going with DK13, even though DK20 is rated for more weight.

Have to add as well that I have the AC jack stands (with rubber pads) - man oh man, what a nice setup! What a pleasure to get under the car and not worry about the jacks! Highly recommend!

Hi Bob, was that a DK20 in your garage? Seemed to do the trick. What would you recommend?

TIA

Oleg, the big advantages of the 13 are a) the reach it has to go waaay under the car (see my earlier post about jacking by the engine) and b) being able to lift the car higher.

When you're going back & forth underneath the car on a creeper installing a suspension, say, that extra 1/2/3" you can set the car up higher on your nice A/C jackstands makes all the difference. Makes it a fun, enjoyable job instead of a cussfest.

I'm in for (1) DK13HLQ & just left Steve a message to finalize details.

When does the Group Buy for the Scissor Lifts start?

Hi Oleg,

Yes, that is the DK20 in my garage. It does the trick admirably for most operations of suspension work, brakes, general maintenanace, etc...

Are you back in the country for a little while now? Are you going to Willow Springs next month with TracQuest??

Take care.

Unfortunately, Steve cannot ship to the UK for 'Distributor' reasons....

His prices are far better than available here (300gbp + vat for a dk13hlq) - would someone (preferably East Coast) be prepared to receive a jack from the group buy and dispatch it on to the UK?

PMs welcome ..... cheers, Maurice

Hi Bob, thanks for the feedback. If that's the case, perhaps I'll go with the DK20 - seems to do the job I need it to do, is "smaller", has higher weight capacity and is cheaper.

I guess I'm still curious why more people are going the DK13 route, in spite of the DK20's good feedback and purposefullness doing what we need a jack to do...

Yes, back in the country, but flying out soon once again. I love traveling, so for me it's a pleasure (my wife has a different opinion, to say the least....). Not going to make Willow Springs and bummed about missing Buttonwillow, but will be burning rubber this season, one way or another!

Can you place DK20 under engine crankcase and jack rear of the car up?
The same from the front(nice picture)?

That's how I plan to use 13hlq to jack the 993 up and that's why I'm choosing 13hlq.
