New Car - Not a 993, however...
I hope that most of you will approve:
This is the car that Victor Contreras race in the Speed World Challenge GT series last year. It's a 2001 Cup Car with the WC upgrade motor (450 HP), Ohlins 3-ways, lots of spares, Motec engine management and data acquisition, etc., etc., etc. In PCA Club Racing it will be a GTA car due to the various upgrades. A few more shots:
Engine:
Trunk, showing some interesting brake ducting:
Front, showing the road rash from the last race in Puerto Rico:
Interior, showing off the fine appointments:
Rear, showing the tiny wing:
At home with the boys:
I'm driving it in a PCA DE on Sunday to get some seat time, then heading down to the Las Vegas Club Race in a couple of weeks. More pictures and videos to come.

OG, the event is April 30 through May 2, so you're there the right time. It would be great to meet you in person, and it should be a fun event.
ceboyd, I never actually finished building the Spec Miata and decided to sell the car, parts, etc. My heart just wasn't in it, and working on it felt too much like work, so I threw in the towel.
Princeton, thanks. I think I still have one of your stickers in my toolbox, and if so it will find a home on the new car!

Wow Skip another race car. I guess GT-2S was just too slow for you, huh? Congrats and good luck in GTA. Are you going to do SCCA races too?
What are your plans for the 993, if I may ask?

I second that! Skip WOW, what a nice find!
Maybe it was best that you sell the SM and stick to Porsche track cars... I'm not sure if you've driven SM before, but I had the chance to drive one (first racecar I drove, actually), and I'm not sure how you'd like driving a Porsche on the street and that on the track. The racing sure is close out there in SM, but damn they are slow!
993 Cup to a SM?? ehhh... I like the 996 Cup purchase myself! Congrats!!
Out of curiousity Skip, how much did you sell the Miata for??
