I've been trying to move this along but the seller is one of the strangest I've come across. He asked for an offer by 5pm last Friday, isn't interested in offering a test drive or PPI and continues to say they're not needed as he has all maintenance records...but they're in the car and I can't see them without an offer. Not really sure what the story is but I've never had a seller do so little to move a deal along.
I tend to only buy from sellers who give off a good vibe.
this one does not seem to (understatement).
Your choice, might be worth a chance if it was a smoking deal, but this doesn't appear to be

Randomly was talking to a fellow 993 owner this weekend at cars and coffee about this car and he said he saw it. Put a $65k number on it (but was guessing, too). Said it looked like it needed work.
The man wants an offer, so give him a low ball offer. Maybe he's not that connected to the 993 market and would accept $50k. Just make it contingent on further inspection and PPI.
How long has the seller owned the car? Do you have a car fax? If the seller is a long time owner I would be more forgiving of some of the interactions so far. I would instantly walk away if the seller owned the car for a short time or as a flip.
It’s not that unusual to say “5 speed” and mean “manual” as a figure of speech.
Maybe the seller doesn’t think you are serious. I’d suggest an in person meeting to look at the car.
With all cars but especially these old ones you're buying the seller as much or more so than the car itself. I would only buy from someone I felt was upfront, considerate, etc. I'll pay more to deal with good people.
Totally random...kids are off, buddy of mine is taking them with his kids to Ridley State Park for a walk on the trails, they want me to bring the new “loud” Porsche when I drop them off.
Not far from where the car was, so I figured I’d drive by. It was out!
Putting eyes on it, I have a different opinion now...and...there are a couple of tells here...as in that PCA 2nd place ribbon in the picture...and that the paper description taped to the window is a print out from a previous PCA market place ad.

OP was not wrong - it says “5 speed” in the ad!
This is gonna be
not the winning For Sale thread...in the “what is the seller thinking” category. Unless this seller doesn’t have the keys for it, so it can’t be unlocked/started/driven...etc, AND there isn’t a Baby Phat bag visible inside the car, then run, don’t walk away.
