Couldn't resist...did some internet stalking...that 2nd place award was from a PCA car show in...2003...and, based on what I could find, the owner is over 80+yrs old (disclaimer: I am not a professional internet stalker...these results may be wrong...google is an amazingly scary thing).

When was the car in an accident? Recently (is that why it's in the body shop now), or a decade or two ago?

The two tone interior is enough reason, in case you needed one....

What do you think an accident on the Carfax does to the value? If $70k was realist before, does the blemish knock off $10k or even more?

I guess it depends on severity and how well it was repaired, so can’t say. I picked $50k b/c it’s a low price for even a decent WB, so if he accepted and allowed a more close inspection and PPI, you’d be in position to possibly get a deal.
Even at $50k you need to perform close inspection and due diligence.
I wish you good luck.

Here the reality of today:
I passed on a car that had 80,000 miles, 2 bad check straps with Frankenstein welds, front and rear windshield rust, a painted front clip which didn't match the back half of the car
The dealer did new brakes and clutch
The car sold for $80K the next day

haha I thought this might resurface here. Would love any additional info anyone has on it. If it’s a cheap buy, I would love to make this my first P car..!
The unknown accident repair and details are concerning. But I wouldn’t buy this for the investment, but to drive it often!
