Winter Project Photos
Guys,
I believe I have completed the winter projects on my car and thought I would post some photos and thank all those that helped me since November. Winter in Upstate NY has been long and cold and I probably went a little overboard (my wife would say crazy) on upgrades and mods. Here is the winter 03-04 list...
1) M030 lowering springs and Bilstein HD's. Car lowered about 7/8".
2) RS short shift kit installed.
3) RS motor mounts installed.
4) TT front bumper installed. No bumperettes and license plate holes filled.
Rear bumperettes were removed last year.
5) Aluminum and leather handbrake lever installed.
6) 18" wheels refinished by Wheels Collision in Bath, PA.
7) Replaced door sills and carpet edge plastic sills.
8) Replaced driver and passenger door window frame seals.
9) Installed new engine hood struts.
10) Installed Porsche retrofit arm rest kits
11) Rear tires replaced with Bridgestone SO2's.
I guess that's about it. Thanks very much to Robin for his help and advise on the TT bumper change and to Viken, Gert, Dan and Robert Collins for their help on the suspension changeover. Also thanks again to Autobahn (Patrick) in Germany for the armrest lead. Rocco and Karl at Cantech Automotive in Syracuse, NY did all the complicated mechanical work, while I confined my work to cosmetics (usually doing everything twice). The Rennlist Forum members help make owning this car a real pleasure. Can't wait till we get some rain to wash the salt off the roads so I can drive this puppy.

She looks great! Hope the rain arrives soon...
Can you post a pic of the porsche retrofit armrest? From your earlier description, it sounds like the best viable option to the bird armrest.

Hey Mike - nice set of photo's. You had a busy winter . I've not seen the "Porsche retrofit arm rest kits". Where do these come from and how hard are they to install. How about some more photo's of them. What was your source for them? TIA

Guys,
The last two photos show the armrests extended and stowed. Search for my earlier post (November?) here at the 993 forum under "Ultimate Armrest Solution". All the info is there. Sorry I don't know how to link this earlier post.

Mike,
You're welcome. The car looks awesome, and the ride height does too!! I like those armrests, I might have to look into a set of those. Group buy, anyone??
Although it is warmer in Nashville, those of us in the south still get the winter itch to do something to our cars. I just had the Porsche OEM Narrow-body AeroKit I sideskirts installed and my new HRE's are due next week. And to think I just had my new suspension installed... :-)
