I’ll be posting an update soon with an interesting development and estimated date for availability. Beta testing continues but would like to hear from someone with a TIP willing to test, any year. -Jay

(Funny that with everything removed from the car to save weight the immobilizer had to stay). Anyway, with no carpet to deal with install took all of 5 minutes - and it worked fine. Owner was happy - apparently the immobilizer is even more of a nuisance at track events
must be that whole Le Mans thing where you run and start your car. I can see how the immobilizer could be annoying in that situation. "z button! z button! You forgot to press z button!"

Subscribing.
Any thoughts on whether this would allow the TORE Scantool to then read the ECU?

I'm not familiar with TORE's scantool, but I've done extensive testing with a generic scanner and haven't observed any communication issues or unusual behaviors. This wasn't unexpected - the demobilizer does its thing quite "surgically" without any modifications to the ECU, Immobilizer or diagnostic port. Keep in mind.... it's easy to unplug the unit, do diagnostic work, and plug back in when done.

This product is great news!!!

Please put me on the group buy list if there is one started, or when the time comes.

More specifically, scan tool can't get past the immobilized to read the ECU. Wondering if this would allow it to.

Not sure what the issue is from the information provided, but if you want to discuss off-line, PM me. All i can say is that the demobilizer doesn't interfere with scan tool comms, If your scan tool (any scan tool) can't communicate with the ECU, that's a separate issue.

Jay - Has the gadget been proven out on a 6-spd manual ‘96 yet? If not and you need a test vehicle, I’m open to support the effort. Thanks.

I have a 96 Tip, if you're still looking for Beta testers.
