A group buy has been arainged for AC Jack Stands model number 3000NFP. These are the stands with the round flat tops having the fitted ruber piece on the top. The stands are coming from Steve at Ultimate Garage but will be delivered, in bulk, to me and sent from my home. This is the only way to get the pricing that we have secured.

If you have any questions about how this came about or would like to see a picture of the stands see the thread "For those who work on their own cars..." Thread id is 114770. Sorry I don't know how to post a link. Perhaps somone else reading this could post it.

The price for each stand is $68. I will add $1.50 per stand to cover the box and other packing materials as well as dropping the boxes off to UPS (this saves $2 per box). Two stands fit in one box. The box will weigh aprox. 25lbs. with the 2 stands. Each box is 14x14x12 inches. Stands need to be ordered in two's. You can pay me one of two ways.

- send a check to me made out to "James Ford"
- use paypal (I will sent you the account info via e-mail) this will add 3% to each order. You can use a CC with the paypal method.

When I get your order I will mail you with shipping costs so you can send payment. As an example shipping to southern Cal. is about $26 per box (2 stands) and to Maryland about $10 per box (2 stands). So two stands sent to Maryland will be $149. I live in Ocean City, NJ (just south of AC) so anyone close to here could pick them up if they wish.

Instructions for ordering:
E-mail me at "jford66@aol.com" with name, address, phone number, number of stands wanted and preffered payment method.

I will e-mail you back to confirm order and tell you payment amount (after I figure shipping using UPS.COM). I will include paypal info at that time or address for check.

I will send two more e-mails. One when payment is recieved and another when the stands are sent.

I would like an e-mail when you recieve them if you could.

I have to pay for the stands up front so I would ask that if you order the stands that you don't change your mind. No flame intended but I only need 4 of them myself. I think that the stands should ship within 2 weeks from today. I will update if there is a problem of course. If demand exceeds supply, orders will be filled first come first served.

I will close the group buy Sunday (2/22) at midnight so I can get the numbers and money to Steve on Monday. Thanks.

That's a real good price! I bought mine directly from Steve and he charged my $190 for two stands and I picked them up at his house (no shipping).

I did for sure Kelly. Sorry I did not confirm. I will go to the post office tommorow to check USPS shipping to Kauai. Maybe I will throw in a Philly Cheesteak to boot. I think we are up to about 70 stands. I have confirmed back to 12 people this evening. I am gonna nock off til tommorow and get back to the rest (about 6 to 10 still). Of course there may be more coming in by Sunday. I will get with Steve tommorow to double check the total number available.

Are these jack stands recommended for older cars. I'm purchasing an 87 Carrera. In Dempsey's book he shows a picture of a jack stand with a curved top under the torsion bar cover. These stands have a flat top.

Any recommendations?
