Alan,
Don't know much about jacking points on non 993's. I know some earlier 911's had the center jack point which seems to raise the entire side evenly, allowing 2 stands to be placed at one time. What I don't know is what the actual area looks like where you would place a jack stand. On the 993 is seems that the traditional jack stands can cause damage to this area. As an aside these stands are pretty heavy duty and have a good reputation with those that have them already. You may want to google this model and find out some more. Hope this helps.

I went to Paypal you the $$$ this morning and Paypal will not allow me to use a credit card for the transaction... The option is there, but it is grayed-out. I know it's not my account, because I just used a CC for another E-bay purchase just this week...

I can transfer the $cash$ if that's my only option, but the whole reason for doing the Paypal thing was so I could use a CC... Got to collect those frequent flyer miles you know!

Any Ideas?

 

Michael. I will have to check with them. Don't transfer the cash, I will get this straigtend out by noon today. I just did a test to myself and it worked. I did get payment from a few people already via paypal. Let me investigate a bit. Thanks.

I got it fixed... though I don't know what they did. I sent you an email to your AOL account, as your private message mailbox was full. The short version is that Paypal said the credit card issue was "for my protection"... but somehow during my conversation with them the option became avaialble to me. Of course, they claim they didn't change a thing!

I dont know what the deal is with Paypal. I checked with them when Michael was having a problem and they said everything was ok with my account. Michael has since contacted them and was able to make the payment. The customer service number they told me to give Michael is 402-935-7733. Hope this helps.

Just an update.

All confirmations have been sent out. If you have not recieved one (either via e-mail, if paying by check or via paypal, if using that method) please mail me ASAP - jford66@aol.com-. The group buy closes Sunday night and I will give the number (110 at the moment) to Steve along with payment on Monday. I would assume that at that time he will tell me when I can expect the stands shipped to me (they are in stock so I would expect them within a few days of Monday).

A final thought (for now at least) if there is anyone who is reconsidering, for any reason, please let me know by Sunday night. We have far surpassed the minimum number for the group buy so there will be no hard feelings and no detriment to the buy. Thanks everyone.
