Hey ! Nice paddles man.
Paddles definitely make the tiptronic more fun and engaging.
Question Holger - why not change body kit to RS kit for more air flow and downforce?
Or do you prefer the ducktail look - beautiful by the way ....

Also, what kind of fuel where you using while putzing around track? These Motronics wake up a bit with 96oct aki (US). I think that’s 99/100 Ron elsewhere. I ask because detonation can do wonders on the lower assembly.....

For as many times as I've seen this thread and others about this car, I somehow never noticed this car was a tiptronic. I only noticed it because of the speedo gauge, lol. Then I actually looked at the shifter, followed by the pedals. Guess I've always been fixated on the exterior and exhaust setup.

Just found this in my collection of writeups. Not sure if it helps but who knows ...
(Behebung Sauteuer)
quick translate:
5. According to the guidelines, there are three construction stages of the connecting rod. The first slimmed-down construction stage goes up to engine number 63 S 02521. Construction stage 2 to 63 S 05848. From model year 96, the connecting rods of the turbo were used in construction stage 3. In construction stage 1, there were several known torn-off connecting rods in case of power increase and / or high continuous reffing. (Remedy freaking expensive)
Should have read this earlier ....

My point being, I wonder under which stressors caused Porsche to upgrade or was it simply because the Turbo was coming online. The lighter rods for the NA motors is more than up for the task. The issue is the bolts for all years. Less reciprocating mass helps with longevity and rotational speed. All things to consider.

I heard it first from my engine builder, but beside the above mentioned statement, I couldn't find any more information on that.
