Re-introduction and new 993
Hello everyone,
My name is Troy and I just wanted to thank the Rennlist community for the wealth of information and support. I have been more of a lurker than poster, spending most of my time in the 964 forum.
Last year a friend of mine passed away. His name was Mark, and we worked together. I am a Firefighter here on Maui, and Mark was a Paramedic in my district. I am sure he was here on Rennlist, and if anyone knows his screen name, I would love to check out some of his old posts. Mark had a beautiful 993 which he owned since the late 90's. Over the years it only accumulated 15k miles. After his death Marks wife held on to the car for a year, and was gracious enough to give me the first right of refusal when she was ready to let go. I purchased the car a couple of weeks ago, and look forward to continuing the story that Mark started.
Thanks again.

There is always something special about folks taking over the care of 993s after a friend or family member passes. It is like part of them lives on.
Take a look at the below link. It is a thread where members listed the last four digits of their 993s VIN. Perhaps yours is there.

I am so sorry for your lost, I bet your friend is looking down from heaven with a big smile knowing that his car is in good hands and that you can keep the dream alive. It must be a very special car for you. The best part, every time you drive it, a part of him will always be with you to remind you of your fond memories. Enjoy in good health. BTW, beautiful car.... Cheers......
