I try not to get into pissing matches on this board, so I will offer my thoughts here, but will not post again on this subject in this thread.

First, I didn't read anything confrontational in JB's email to Martin in sharp contrast to Martin's thread starting post to boot JB from Rennlist. Indeed, was Martin's reaction "the way to treat anyone, even if they've offended?"

Second, like every pub (to use your past metaphor), this one has its own unique history, rhythm, regular customers, attractions and culture. If indeed you are as new here as your profile would indicate (registered a scant month or so ago, appear not to be a Rennlist member & 5 posts in 2 threads) I'd question your standing to serve as Board Censor and your snapshot perspective from which to criticize anyone who has been a regular in the pub for years. Don't get me wrong, you are free to voice your opinion about others on the Board, it just doesn't carry much weight, IMO.

Third, if, as I suspect, you are not new to Rennlist, but have found it desirable to reinvent yourself - why the charade?

Ok gentlemen, I have a thought. It would be terribly sad if Martin and Jim Bob were friends and buddies in their real persona's. I really think and hope that they both should stay. It is very difficult to take a group of driven, competitive, entreprenuerial,Type A(general stereotype I know), and successful individuals....throw them in an arena and ask them to play nice. We as a general rule on this board have been able to accomplish this. I hope that We can somehow bring that back to the table...the reason being that JB is a caricature if You will...a creation to make a point at times...these points have been humorous, well timed, and helpful. Martin is real, and with the unique qualities that have been referenced, very helpful and quick to give input. I believe that these guys really are both great guys! Martin , please don't let JB get yur gote..so to speak. Both of You guys stay on board!! Just as in many posts earlier, including my own, we have something to lose as a community if we lose one, or both. Sincerely,

This was all quite fun, until all of the mudslinging, although it is intriguing. Kinda reminds me of a few elections in the past.

Wouldn't it be funny if Martin and JimBob were actually friends outside of the Rennlist, or even more interesting...they were one in the same <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

This post is precisely why many older members don't visit the board anymore. Too much BS as to what the board should look, feel, and smell like... it is not a dictatorship but a community.
