The Avatar is almost blinding at least on my screen. As far as some of the comments I don't really mind a little humor now and then. It is funny at times. But someones sense of humor can be seen differently by different types of people. Minus the Blinding Pic A little laughter doesn't seem like it hurts too much.

Just my opinion. I choose to ignore what I don't want to read and take the information that is useful to me, and I am grateful for that.

Sad, very sad. You people need a humor transfusion, and fast. I always enjoyed the humor, and the mystery of Just Who Is JimBob?

Now if I can just figure out where JimBob's gone to -- I'll have to start spending more time over there.

If anyone hears anything, let me know!

I think he's good for a laugh...sometimes a large laugh, sometimes a small chuckle. And, 'he ain't is stoopit is he looks'. I hope he continues to post, possibly with a smaller 'avitator' p.s. I do not work for jimbob, or am affiliated with him, and probably would not be seen with him. nor am i related to jimbob or his family (which he is, if you get my drift) MaX

We are now famous on the 964 board for this post.

Seems like some good advice here from the outside looking in...

Hey, wait a minute Greg,

JimBob never said what kind of car he owns.

Maybe it's a 964

I recommend a shot of tequila and perhaps a laxative for some of our more tightly wound members.

Do you remember back to early days at school, where the 'smart kid' picked on the 'dumb kid' or the 'Bully' picked on the 'smart kid'? Isn't current society trying to get rid of that? Whilst the 'dumb kid' in this case is an act and I think it's probably quite the opposite? I think if we want to teach our kids not to alienate, perhaps we should practice that ourselves?

Just a thought. I hate to see anyone leave the playground just for trying to be funny, or stupid, which ever way you see it?

Dylan.

JimBob has to stay.

I just ask 2 little things. You are more enjoyable if you (1) use a bit more English-like language (for people whose mother tongue is note English) and (2) switch back to Your old avatar.

JimBob added colour to this board. And Porsches are not all black, like Mr Henry Ford wanted to see.

I'm all for humor on these forums. It's just that I never found whoever it was JimBob to be funny at all. He's not offensive or anything, just terribly unfunny and unoriginal.

Hey, what happens when JimBob hits the Spell Check button? Does the Rennlist computer blow up? Does this explain the Forum outages?

All I can add to this lengthy debate is that I am truly heartened to see such serious discussion on the topic of JimBob. I can only hope that the same thoughtfulness of discussion is heard on other serious topics. Oh say like, should we go to war with Iraq...

At any rate, at the end of the day, free speech is one of the bedrocks of the country where this forum eminates from. I do not believe silencing JimBob in any way, shape or form, will enhance the fabric of this little society. In fact, quite the contrary, JimBob today, who should be banned tommorrow?

I will admit however, that I exercise one of the other bedrock freedoms we offer in America when it comes to ole' JB. I simply choose to ignore his posts (too much energy to translate-I was never very good with foriegn languages). No offense intended JimBob.

JimBob, come over to the 924/944/951/968 forum. I assure you that we will appreciate your humor, candidness, and wisdom. We definitely won't get uppity just because you tell it like it is.

Humor is always difficult and perhaps more difficult on web-sites than other mediums.

I have to admit that my money was on JimBob being a 993 owner who posted under more than one identity and personally I was amused by most of what I saw and read - although that avatar did get old fast.

I guess I'm more than a little peeved that a Rennlister has been driven away because his (or her) taste was not 100% to someone elses taste and personally I'm pretty dismayed by the fact that he has been driven away for behavior that was a damn sight less divisive and objectionable than some of the stuff in the Off Topic area.

So Martin and the others who pushed JimBob off, please do not talk for others in future - you have no right to do so. In future you can skim through postings that annoy you.

You might care to re-read and reconsider the principle of free-speech that, among other things, distinguish this great country. I am ashamed of you.
