Post best looking 993S wheels?

today i was thinking, rather than sell my car, i might just change the wheels to give it a new look.

any ideas on some of the best looking wheels you have seen on a 993S?

i kinda like the fikse FM/5's and gemballa sport 19's so far.

thanks

ken

I like the Kinesis K-28's but would get the reverse drop centers.

Check with Wheel Enhancement. They have a good selection for our cars, and will ensure proper fitment.

Greg, curious why you would prefer the reverse drop centers. More clearance for bigger brakes, lighter, or just because they look cool?

Thanks,

You don't say what color your 911 is, but on my Glacier White 911 Carrera S, I ordered a brand new set of Factory 18" Technology Hollow-spokes from Wheel Enhancement where they stripped off the factory silver color and painted them Glacier White with a clear coat. Center caps were also painted white with the crest in Porsche red, black & gold. Very sharp look (took home 2 First-Place Trophies in PCA Concours; one was for Best Wheels).

Just purely for the looks. They are actually a little heavier than the same size without the drop centers because the centers are an inch larger in diameter. They use the same size centers that the 19" wheels use.

...and speaking of looks, the gun metal grey on the Kinesis wheels looks so damn tough!

Great looking wheel...

Here's another option - the RS Wheels from Speedline. I think they're attractive but they are rather heavy.

Hey Ken,

This is obviously a subjective reply, but of all the wheels I've seen, I'm still partial to the Factory 18" Turbo Twist wheels (NOT CHROMED!!!)

You did not mention if you had the 17" classic or the Twist wheels.

All of the other wheels posted are very nice as well. But I love the turbo twist wheels..

Good luck.

Me too.. I like the look of the factory turbo twists.

Here's a set of polished ones on ebay:
<a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33748&item=1874088286&rd=1" target="_blank">polished turbo twists</a> that I found. no affiliation, etc..

I wish that I got these instead of the standard finish ones, but at the time, I couldn't find any available.

I used to have chromed wheels, but that was a disaster. I loved the look, but they eventually failed. Here's a pic of them:

</a>

My next project is going to be to turn those chromed wheels into some type of porsche memoriabilia. I've got all the parts to make a wall clock and will see how that looks.

Jeff
