Bob I think I understand...but the question is whether or not your package is different...and if so how. I'll be happy to leave it to others to compare and contrast the merits of either package. Perhaps someone else who knows what Bob is offering and what Gert is offering can shed some light on this for a guy w/ a flashlight...oh but no batteries. Cheers

Amount of labor for C2 install?
I saw in a precious post that there was an estimate of 6 hrs for a C2. Is this what people have found commonly. I've been quoted between 10 and 14 hours from 3 local shops.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Grant,
On a C2, if the shop knows what they are doing and do it by actual time vs. book time you can do a C2 in 6 hours. The C2 has a much smaller transaxle, and no driveshaft going forward. So it is not that difficult to pull the transaxle without pulling the motor (and unwiring, disconnecting fluid lines, oil lines, etc). My Turbo clutch took 10 hours, and that involved a heck of a lot more than a C2. I would keep looking for shops in your area if those are the quotes you are getting....
Good luck...

from what I can see the main difference is that VB offers the GT2 thowout bearing and also throws in a main seal. Gerts price in USD is $1780, so VB's price is excellent.

Bob - I see that you're offering this deal until 1/15 - is there any danger that you'll run out of stock by that time?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Best of luck to Bob! And just from my personal experience, Bob is such a knowledgable and great Porsche enthusiast who is so willing to explain and share information with. I highly recommend any Turbo owner within the vicinity go and talk/visit with him if you are ever thinking of doing some project. He's an enthusiast like us and hates seeing other enthusiasts get ripped off.

Bob,
So as far as driving effects are concerned, I am assuming that the motor feels livelier than stock with this setup. Do you also get more compression braking effects and do you know what the difference between static weights of the stock vs the big HP set up is?
thanks for playing 20 q's with me the past few days...
