Whats your take?
When it came to insuring my old '88 full size Bronco I had to clarify that it wasn't a Bronco II as the agent, I used at the time, said the Bronco II were hard to insure due to them flipping.... Is that what your insurer is saying?

50 plus years old, use State Farm for many years, multi car and house,
accident free

97 Cab C2 $ 344 for 6 months,100,000/ 300,000 Liability, $ 500 deductible comprehensive, $ 1,000 deductible collision

98 Lexus ES 300$ 276 for 6 months, same coverage no deductible for comprehensive $ 500 deductible collision

For some lucky reason Ohio is as cheap as New Jersey is over the top, but if people keep shooting at cars around columbus who knows.......

What do you all recommend for deductibles? I see a lot of $500+ deductibles...right now mine is set at $100 comp/$250 coll and it's probably bought time for a change...I haven't touched the deductibles for about 10 years.

$87.50/month for 97 993TT with State Farm.
$47.50/month for 02 Subaru WRX.

I get multicar and some other random discount. I'm told by my agent that I'm not yet in the best insurance category. Once I'm with State Farm for 5 years, I should get bumped to a better rate category.

I carry a $1000 deductible. With 3 cars on my policy, I'll save enough for the higher deductible in very short order. I also saved 20% on homeowners when I went from a $500 to $1000 deductible.

I have zero claims against my policy and have had no infractions in 6 years.

Wow, you saved 20% on your homeowner's just by switching your vehicle deductible? I also have State Farm...I'll definitely have to look into this...that's a lot of savings to be had.

$600 a year with GMAC insurance.

I have since switched my other 2 cars over to them, and Homeowners. Not stated value like a Hagarty policy, but Hagarty won't write on the newer cars. I expect we would negotiate hard in the event of a major accident, but I have not had any claims with them. I had good luck negotiating with State Farm when one of their drivers totalled my '86 911.

You misinterpreted that last portion of my post, and you did so becuase I was entirely unclear and completely ambiguous!

I meant that I also want and changed my homeowners deductible, and that resulted in 20% savings. It was completely independent and unrelated to my auto. Sorry for the confusion.

State Farm: $1,113 per year, with $1,000 deductible, $250/500K bodily injury, and $100K property damage. Married, 36 yo, multi-car and multi-line discount, accident free (we'll see what happens after they process Da Kink incident).

That Geico quote does seem phenomenal. Much higher than what they quoted me.

PGR has also been a great company for me - as an investor.

Deleon1, My Opinion on deductibles, if it's cost is just the amount i'm gonna pay for the difference(if i'm paying for lower decuctible) in, let's say, for 2 years, I'd rather have the higher deductible. Was that cofusing? Let me put it this way, If get vandalized and the damages is $300, means I have to pay that out of my own pocket right? Well, how often would that happen vs. the amount you pay for the lower deductible. That's just me.

34 year old, married, claim and ticket free for 8 years.

I am insured thru ANPAC. They also give you 25% premium rebate if you stay claim free for three years. Suburbs of Denver, Colorado.

Tri-line discount with home and variable whole life policies.

-90 c2 Cab with 5 % deductible of $33 declared value for comp/collision and 5K in mileage p/year: $242 for 6 mos.

-97 c2s with 5% deductible of $44 declared value for comp/collision and 5K in mileage p/year: $268 for 6 mos.

-01 Acura MDX, 1000/1000 deductibles $318 for 6 mos.

-96 Infiniti Q45 1000/1000 deductibles 282 for 6 mos.

$0 deductible for windshield. Must maintain a 1,000,000 umbrella and 250/500 limits in liability. Towing and rental car included.

Another option is to consider Leyland West. They also have great rates for Porshces.

ANPAC and Leyland West are the two to check out. Both are rated A+.
