I guess this means I've got to get married!! That is a smokin' rate!
Can anyone give me an ROI on the marriage question?

Default 993 insured value??

wot is the value these insur coys are applying to your 993's??...Geico would only give me $45k for 98 c4s with 7k miles....somewhat under mkt value. Has anyone got a higher replacement value from their insurer

Mike,

How did you get $594/yr for a 993? What insurance company are you with? Maybe I would need to up my deductibles to get a lower rate.

Anyone in SoCal that has a clean driving record should check out Wawanesa in San Diego. They only insure good drivers so that is why they claim to be able to offer such low rates. I have recommended them to a lot of friends over the years and they have always saved them money. I pay $642 per year with $500 deductible on a multi car policy. I had an accident about 7 years ago in my 240 SX and they handled the claim without any problem. No affiliation etc.

Congratulations! Just be careful what you delete. One missing bracket is all it takes...

Wow there is quite a variance between what people are paying...... sounds like I may be in good stead as I live in Portsmouth, NH.

I use Allstate.... They have my 85 911 under Hagerty Classic Car Insurance and my 951 under their normal insurance.

I pay $475 (prepay) for the 911 a year and $940 for the 951 a year.
I have no tickets and no record.... which is amazing really when I think about it. I am from the UK and driving 100+ is normal day speeds to me.... I have lived in the US for 5 years now and haven't been quite able to slow my self up any!.

Here's another question...... how many of you went from a mid 80's 911 to your 993???

I have just listed my 85 911 so that I can by this sweet looking Black 95 993 being sold locally.

Seems like more 80's 911 owners are jumping ship to the 993

Evan,

Check your PM (private mail). It's under "My Profile" at the top of the page.

I don't want to hijack this thread.

1 thing I forgot to mention, 993 is not my daily driver, but I doubt if it makes much diff. All three of my cars are with Geico. Porsche alone is $594 per year, 'cause I'm paying $297per six months. {$302/6mos on the 01 4Rnr}

My homeowners ins is with USAA. Because Geico will just sub-contract it(they don't have their in house homeowner's which makes it more expensive for me[from their quote, at least])

as mentioned above the actual cost is only relevant to HOW MUCH VALUE is covered...ie if ur car is stolen who much will they pay you??....i can get $50 a year insur cover but i don't expect much back if its stolen ...

BODILY INJURY LIABILITY/ $300,000-$300,000 / NA / $62.90

PROP DAMAGE LIAB / $100,000 / NA / $36.80

MED EXPNS PAYMENTS / $3,000 / NA / $12.00

UNINSRD MOTORIST BOD INJURY / $300,000-$300,000 / NA / $26.70

COMP / FULL / $500 DED. / $43.10

COLLISION / FULL / $500 DED. / $103.20

UNINSRD MOTRST PROP DAM / $100,000 / * / $5.70

* see your contract, a deductible may apply Premium Total: $296.20
