I don't think its really an issue, to be honest. Mine are bent too, no problems using them.

Sounds like an issue to me. I've owned many cars/trucks over the years and never had such an issue.

Yes it happens and it seems pretty common. No it doesn't cause any problems and doesn't need to be fixed for the jack points to be functional.

That's why I said its not an issue that needs to be included on PPI before you buy a car. I don't think its worth worrying about.

Good to know I am not the only one with this issue/non-issue...I guess I have already learned to live with it. =)

My wheel guy was in pissy mood a few weeks ago, complaining that he was unable to properly jack up the car with a bent jack point. I bent down, inserted a hockey puck, and walked away. Works like a charm.

Most of us Bruins fans do.
Any wheel shop worth it's weight in salt will have hockey pucks or similar paraphernalia lying around.

I used hockey pucks all the time with the lift.

I would say a good 50% of the 993's I see have bent jack points, and it seems to be always the front drivers side. That side appears to be weaker.

It bends because one of the spot welds break - you need to reweld it to fix it correctly. That is NOT just welding, then you need to clean it, prime and paint BOTH inside and out or you are asking for rust. I would rather just use a hockey puck, works fine on a bent point.

Cheers,

Mike
