Default CARRERA T. paint to sample

i’m considering getting a PTS on my carrera t … and then adding to that ECU aftermarket tune with M engineering, which adds according to what I see 190 hp and 100 feet of torque…. I think this will tremendously make this a much funner car than it already is so I’m asking for your suggestions….. the MSRP would run close to 200,000. I know it’s a bit hefty but it’s still a manual with all that power.

If you're looking for validation spending $200K for a T then a mirror will likely be your best source. If it works for you - great! You'll never get anywhere near that money for the car in the future but if it's what you want more power to you.

Here is my 991 Touring in Pantone 296C (aka Manaus Blue)

Also, my 992.2 T is PTS & nearly $180k. So I assume yours is pretty loaded… I never think of the $ when I’m behind the wheel. Buy & enjoy!

i’m assuming you love that color. This is the first time I hear someone with that color and I’m glad you enjoy your car. You don’t care about any depreciation or anything else because that’s the way to look at it…. I am putting my order in november and I wait as soon as I have as long as I get that color

I assume PTS colors are similar to BMW individual colors? I paid $5k for the paint, but assumed I wouldn't (and didn't) get that money back when I traded it in.

So do you get most of your $15k back?

SOME PTS colors are glorified - and then some become "standard" colors. At the end of the day get what you want (as long as you can get it).

I personally would not be in a hurry to toss a 4 year / 50K mile warranty on a $ 200K car by putting a tune on it. The T is 388HP as it is stock (and Porsche is very conservative in numbers) on a dyno it would probably be over 400 hp in stock form. A new long block for one of these cars is around $ 80,000, that's a lot of coin if the tune puts a hole in the case, that sort of thing. But, your call of course.

My 2021 S is 443 hp, a stick, and all the power I need plus some.
