I will say on the CPO, Warranty since we started the port flashing back in 2006 we haven't had a customer have an issue in denial using our tuning so almost 20 years .
Scott, does your software tune resets the ECU flash counter or keeps track of it and resets it back to as nothing ever happened? Or what other mechanism does Porsche use to detect of the ECU was flashed back and forth?

We have never increased the flash counter since we started port flashing in 2006. The older DME's used to only be allowed 3 flashed and then they were done. Once from the factory and then twice so if there was an update from the dealer it would be number 2 . Sometimes people would flash different files with the PIWIS tester and then find that out or the dealer also so I reset MANY of them back to 0 or 1 for them....them being dealers or customers .
Another would be the mechanic on a new DME put in the wrong IPAS data and didn't know where they messed it up so it bricked the DME. I would also and still get those to read out and give them the info to fix it and save the cost of buying another one. The same with Over revs for people that have a race car and install a new engine I would clear them so they could monitor it from a fresh standpoint. I also have my units for bench resets set as different locations for a factory change like Stuttgart as one and not a dealer.
Generally speaking when done properly there is nothing the dealer can see that it was flashed when back to the orig file unlike the PDK .The PDK even when flashed to stock holds and waves its own red flag as the last highest environment that is recorded and its like an over rev in its there to stay. It will give the highest shift points etc recorded. So you may flash a DME and PDK back to stock there's that red flag there... That is a whole other subject and why I dont flash them.
Now since I check the binary in race cars for compliance there are ways to tell even with CVN corrections in tuned cars simply by the binary when back to stock it will leave bread crumbs yet that would require PAG to get the unit and dissect it. They do have the option if there is a questionable repair like a new PDK or engine to ask for the DME and or PDK CU. They will be read out on the bench and you can get more yet remember the red flag I mentioned before or simply leaving a tuned file in the car and bringit in for such a fix....
I guess I went much farther than you asked yet....
Yes yet trying to get the operation working with the tool for the consumer to use....
Great news. Does this also apply to the .2 GT3 and if so, given the .2 has the RS/ST engine and ST box, with ST LWFW/clutch and after market exhaust, could you replicate the ST file?

Thanks for the detailed response. Fully understand your point. From your earlier statement, you never had the case where a user of your tunes had his ECU dissected by PAG as they never had to. Correct?

That is correct, all warranty work was approved and no issues , however that wasn't always the case for other tuned cars over the years by different companies. Im not going to say by who, why or what further though.

I probably could yet haven't looked at both files.... Generally since the 3.4 996 Ive been making true conversion files for cars.
Fantastic sales price Scott. Thanks. Quick question. I am currently on stock cats but contemplating a set of Europipe sport cats in the near future. If I purchase and install your Softronic tune today, what happens in 6 months when I change from factory cats to sport cats? Thanks in advance.

No problem as Ive never charged for modified files within reason for direct customers.... The only time I consider anything a custom tune that I may charge a fee for would be like having a 997TT and adding a greddy , different injectors, Garrett 30/76's, exhaust and more. Otherwise everything is a normal flash to me no matter what options etc or code deletes and so on. I dont even consider adding different turbos to these as an extra charge.

Thank you. I am in! Just ordered on your website. Thanks again.
Thank you Scott. I took advantage of the Softronic sale. Installed it this morning and it seems to do just what it advertises it does. Seems to accelerate harder from a stop and breaks traction more easily.

Glad you like and we have aimed to please for almost 20 years now in port flashing the P cars.
The .2 cars we have mentioned back in early June on the flashing and further back to others yet hadn't posted on it.
