Do you find that the PDK seems to shift up much earlier than stock in auto normal and sport?

I have a 2023 992.1 Carrera T. The 'Auto Start / Stop disable' is an option with a check box in the drive mode setting. Do you mean the check box would always stays on and no longer able to toggle it off (uncheck)

quick AI search: An ECU tune can affect shifting points, particularly in modern vehicles where the engine and transmission controllers are tightly integrated. By increasing power and torque, an ECU tune changes how the car accelerates, prompting the automatic transmission's controller (TCU) to alter when it shifts gears to match the new power band.
  • Revised Shift Points: Tuners often raise RPM limits or adjust shift schedules to keep the engine in its peak power band longer.
  • Torque Management Changes: The engine may produce more torque, causing the transmission to adjust how it handles that power, which can make shifts feel sharper or faster.
  • Integrated Modules: On many modern vehicles, a flash to the ECU can directly affect the TCM (Transmission Control Module), altering upshift/downshift speeds and improving performance.
  • Harder Shifting: Without a specific transmission tune (TCU tune) to match, a high-performance ECU tune can sometimes lead to unexpected or harsh, aggressive gear changes

Thanks for the AI copy and paste. I’ve been running the tune for over 1,500 miles and have my first hand experience. Just curious how others that actually have it are finding it in specific scenarios.

I have it for a year and tbh dont pay too much attention to shift points. With more torque and power I assumed it will feel quicker including how long before it shifts. I do actually monitor engine parameters 24/7 and can see the much different performance not just with my butt dyno but also in numbers.
PS: I did AI as it summarizes it better than I can state it.
