Default What is this drip?

Not the usual location for a fluid leak in a 992. Midway and centered under vehicle. Realize capillary action here means the drip could be coming from someplace else, but?...

Cheers,

Appears to be clear/water. Not hot/cold out w/ bad dew point either. Happens when car is parked and engine cool.

Curious about this so I did some googling and found this thread
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...er-of-car.html

can you get some of the fluid on to a white paper towel, toilet paper, tissue so we can see if there is any color to it?
also, can you let us know what trim you have, year, and milage?

I had something similar happen on my old 911, and it turned out to be a condensation drain from the AC that had gotten clogged. Maybe check that first? Otherwise, I'd get it up on a lift and take a good look around

Definitely water. Paper towel pix attached. 20k miles on the 2023 992.1 Turbo S Coupe. Daily Driver. I am suspecting blocked A/C drain plugged up and/or windshield water drain gulleys plugged up. I will take pics and document what I find.

Thanks guys.

Yeah looks like water. I saw you commented on another post about the same issue, hopefully it's nothing more than a blocked drain.

BTW, love that you're driving the thing like it should be!

Ran a test... just clogged drains. Water was from windshield runoff drains.

My TEST:
1. Removed underbody panel and noted drip locations.
2. Extensive inspection - main drip location was radiator hose (low point/capillary action led the water here); verified that the drips were water. No sign of coolant leaks nor engine/drive train fluid leaks.
3. Removed frunk battery cover panel near windshield.
4. Poured warm soapy water onto windshield near rain runoff drains... video'd the water flow and found that the test water eventually went right to the radiator hose where the drips were located. Sir Isaac Netwon's Law of Porsche drips confirmed. Poured warm soapy water into sunroof drain channels. Ran same video observation. Sunroof water drains at bottom of doors, so unrelated to my drips... confirmed the source was the windshield drains.
5. Used compressed air and towels to dry everything off... and ran the test a second time. Same results.

Pics/short video attached. All good!

Cheers,
L76

Glad to hear that man! Always feels good when you can diagnose AND fix a problem on your own.
