is there an aftermarket 992 rim that is similar to this rim, or is there a good source for finding used oem rims that are not crazy expensive. I looked at the oem set on Sunset and it was 9k range.
Flat6 Motorsports has these but with different off set. I dont know what this would do in terms of suspension or stance but I would guess that Flat6 can provide more info. https://flat6motorsports.com/collect...ged-wheels-992
You get what you pay for. Chinese knockoffs may look similar but are not made in the same way. Some can be very difficult or even impossible to balance due to heavy spots in the wheel during casting.

I have bought many sets of wheels... Some very high end sets including my current BBS FI-Rs and some cheap Chinese knockoffs and everything else in between - Volk Racing, SSR, BBS, Axis, Enkei, Impul, Ronal, Borbet, etc... All of the rims worked perfectly and balanced perfectly without any issues whatsoever. The Chinese knockoff (Axis wheels) were heavier but were nonetheless functionally fine and lasted tens of thousands of miles without issue or degradation of their finish.
Also, check out this youtube video. These guys operate a ring taxi and they completely destroy the barrels of their super high end BBS E88 "motorsport" wheels after only a handful of laps whereas the much cheaper, but still very high quality, Ronal and ProTrack wheels are basically indestructible...
Your money, your choice on wheels…buy whatever you like as it doesn’t affect me in any way. I had a set of Taiwanese wheels I bought new for my Aston Martin Vantage, in a moment of cheapness thinking I would save some cash that way. My friend who owns a chain of tire shops could not balance them with new Michelin Pilots on them, they were too heavy in spots. He even took them to another of his shops and had his best tech try on different machinery to no effect. They rode terrible. So, I junked them and instead bought a new set of HRE P40’s. Using the same set of tires that were on the junk wheels, they balanced perfectly. In fact, my friend said that was the most true set of wheels he they ever had in the shop, it only needed a small amount of weight,
that was my first set of HRE’s, and I have owned two other sets since the Aston. You get what you pay for.
