What brand is TAIWANESE?
There are good manufacturers and some that are not so good.. categorizing them by country of origin is ludicrous
your iPhone is made is China, almost every TV today is made in Asia (various countries) .. etc etc
yes, there are different levels of wheels, but MILLIONS of cast alloy wheels (and some forged) are manufactured in China in incredibly sophisticated high tech facilities and shipped around the world
Decide what you want/need and chose a reputable manufacturer and if its a good company and you happen to get a poorly balanced wheel I would imagine that they will replace it under warranty
but from personal experience over many years and sets of tires and rims you CAN get a very good set of wheels/rims for a 992 in spyder design for $200-$400
you can also spend $2,000 per wheel/rim if that suits you needs/wants .. ie. racing, track, special designs etc

Lots of flow formed wheels are made in Taiwan and are very high quality. HRE, Apex, and Rays to name a few.
We can get you some really nice OEM+ design wheels for mid $4's shipped to your door. Which can be speced to your liking, if you'd like to reuse OEM tires as well as get a more flush look.

not just flow formed but quite a few name brand wheel manufacturers of multi piece forged wheels now make them in Taiwan and some in China. He had a bad experience 19 years ago and now generalizes his experience almost 2 decades later.

the OP was asking for a LESS expensive option for aftermarket wheels. Many on this thread have provided options for consideration, mostly based on their knowledge and experience
Would take advice from what happened 19 years ago.. not me
