For those without PSE
There is one downside that I have found with the programming of the PSE, and it is minor but worth noting. If you have two blank programable buttons on the front area selection, you will only be able to program one of those for PSE, the other will not be able to be programmed. In the case you have FAL and only one, you will have no problem as the one can be programed for PSE or whatever you want.
For those with two "open" buttons you can only program one. The other one becomes a pseudo dead button each time you press it will ask you to program, but if you do it will override the other button. So you can replace the button with a PSE symbol button, but the other is non-programmable (ie. will override the other one). I am sure there is some hardcode somewhere in the programming where you have to hard code a switch to let it use both programmable buttons independently, but once you enable PSE it seems to allow only one.
With that said, I did not program the PSE switch on either of the control buttons, as I turn mine to sport when I get in, so just like a normal PSE exhaust it turns on the PSE exhaust automatically - just like it does with the PSE.
I ended up using the second button as surround view and the open one on the steering wheel as my homelink. The first one I just don't touch as if you do, it will have the pop up message that ask you to select a command. Which if you do, that now becomes the command for that button and you loose whatever was programmed in the second (if that makes sense).

I installed the Cargraphic controller after weighing the pros and cons of PSE programming (however, I really wish I had the cool binoculars switch). What difference in sound is there between a Cargraphic controller that fully opens the valves versus the PSE programming which (I'm assuming) opens the valves to the Porsche setting (which is, from what I read, never 100% open except for the cold start)?
