Default Carmine Red or Ice Grey, about to lock

I just can't decide. Any words of wisdom here?

My Carmine build would have the very nice Cognac leather.
My Ice Grey build would have the blue leather and add the Aerokit.

Lock date is Thursday, if not before. Current build in the system is Carmine.

Carmine on cognac is going to be gorgeous. I’d only do ice grey with a bright interior like all red or all blue (even though the blue isn’t bright).

Carmine!

Another vote for Carmine over Cognac. Ultimately it is your car so do not let those of us here influence your final decision.

Ice Grey. Have seen it in the dealership showroom a few times recently and it immediately draws you in. I can't imagine how amazing it must look in different lighting environments, clouds, shadows, direct sun.

Get Carmine. No question. Always better to get a color. Here my 992.1 T in carmine. You won’t regret it. It’s stunning

Ice Gray with the aero kit 👍🏼 There are tons of Carmine Red 991s around, especially GTS. There aren’t a lot of IGM 911s around. Plus I think the aero kit looks cool.😎

Love my IGM 911! However, it's a color that is definitely modern and understated with markedly different shades in different lighting...it actually IMO looks better in shaded and cloudy weather.

OP,

Go bold and stay with your first choice, the Carmine Red and Coganc. With Ice Grey your 992 will look like a KIA, which is flooding the market with that look-alike color!

Ice Grey is actually a very interesting color under the sun and I'm generally not a grey fan. Lots of depth to it more towards white spectrum than grey and I've only seen it once in person despite going to lots of car events. Carmine is great too but most don't know the difference between Carmine and Guards and Guards is very common. Choice of colors is always up to you. Do you want more understated but more unique or louder but more common?

OP here. Ice Grey would have the blue leather with contrast chalk sitiching.

Funny thing is I see CR as the SAFE choice...meaning I know I would love it, period.
Ice Grey....I THINK I would love it, but worry I think "darn, it's very nice, but should have gotten the CR". So some risk here, but it's such cool and unique color. Never seen one on a 911 tho, which is the problem. Seen lots of them on Taycan, but I have trouble seeing colors on diferent cars- meaning I LOVE red on sports cars, but hate red on SUV's, so different colors look very different to me on different cars.

Do your car have that blue undertone that I've seen in some pics? or does that undertone only come out in very specific lighting conditions?

I went IGM and blue interior for my cab, so I'm biased.

You are right. When it comes to Porsches, red is the safe choice. Go with your gut. Here is IGM in the sun.
