Red to stand out, grey to blend in. Just spends on what you want your experience to be. Good luck!

I agree with Byran. For the money you're spending you might as well make it stand out a little. Go for the red. BTW, mine is Lava Orange. It stands out.

BOTH those colors are drool-worthy, and all you guys being 50/50 split have not helped the OP decide one bit! ;-)
I was torn between those two colors as well...

... so I went Lugano blue. Almost none of these in the wild yet, so I've only seen it in pictures and the first 992.2 base review videos. For your consideration:

I like carmine over guards red but I went with guards red b/c every time I went to the dealership I'd see Macans and other garden variety Porsches in carmine red on the lot so it made carmine less unique to me. Still, objectively speaking I think carmine red looks better than guards red.

I struggled between these two colors and chose IGM. Both are fabulous and can't miss in my view. I chose IGM for a more understated and arguably more modern look on my 911. I'm saving the red for something less responsible down the road...

As for the market being "flooded with shades of grey" as another poster said, you can make that argument about reds, blues, silvers and grays--just about anything frankly. It's the car that makes the color with 911's not the other way around. Importantly IGM has metallic flake in it which gives it depth and interest--many of the current grays/chalks you see in market are non metallic and look boring on a Kia but very nice on a 911--at least to my eyes.

Carmine red is such a beautiful color, the deep red looks so nice under all lighting conditions. I love it.

Both are good choices. Carmine would be my pick.

I had an opportunity on a IGM GTS Cab. The color definitely varies depending on lighting, clouds, etc. It can be muted.

Carmine. The IG is very nice but the RED (both Carmine and Guards IMO) stand out beautifully especially with the cognac. Timeless.
