Modern Ferraris (MY 2012 458 and afterwards) are covered by the 7 year maintenance program -- i.e., all scheduled maintenance is free.

As to Lamborghinis, maintenance at a Lambo dealer is no more expensive (and sometimes cheaper) than at a Porsche dealership. And anecdotally, the Huracan is one of the most reliable cars in the VW group.

I'm 48 and doing quite well for myself and I've not bought a GT3...yet.

The GT cars are not a premium due to internet fame (sure Instagram and Youtube float loads of GT car content); they are up there due to the low production numbers and games played by both Porsche and dealers. Existing clients know how damn good the GT cars are but are more than willing to pay to play and jump on the allocation carosel.

Watching Instagram, Youtube etc. I mainly see GT content from collectors with a number of Porsche or other brand cars or performance enthusiasts...
I am 21 going on 22 with a 992 Carrera T (I do have a loan)
I know a younger guy than me at 19 who paid cash for his GT4RS last year, while there are a very small percentage of younger people with them it does happen.

The owner of this Spyder RS looks like he's 16.
Obviously an outlier but I think a lot of people of older generations who were conditioned to go through the traditional stages of job and career progression (I'm on the near tail end of such traditionalist school of thought) just find it hard to grasp that there are many who aren't doing that at present and are achieving great financial success through non-traditional means.

I agree with you I still think it’s crazy too, as I was raised with very traditional values and like go to schoo, get a job work, and I found other avenues that just worked for me, even though they were not exactly what my parents had in mind for me they still supported me, and I cannot go back to where I was 5 years ago, wanting to go to college and stuff. I went right out of highschool in to a good job that I love that “helps businesses stay in business” that is what I like to say about my job at least

…and a naturally aspirated v16 producing 1000hp….plus the 800hp from the 3 emotors. They emphasized they get rid of turbos and went NA for a real sports car experience including sound. Have you watched the analog tach when its out to work…it’s mesmerizing.

They are aggressively ugly cars.

Top 1% of 30-34 have 2.4+ million in assets. There are over 200,000 such people, those 4 years of age alone, in the US. Porsche will be okay selling to them too. Wealth accumulation at the top 10% in that age range isn’t super impressive but the top 2-5% could easily afford an 911. Also, most of them aren’t doctors. 1970s would like their advice back.

literally millions of people in the 30-39 bracket who can afford this. America is huge, and the density of wealth is unevenly concentrated. Don’t go hurting yourself with statistics

Bingo. I have two boys, both in their mid-30’s, and both easily make over $150k/yr (one is a banker, so with bonuses, it can range up to $250K/yr). Both are married to professional women, so their combined family income is close to $300K/year.. Both own their own houses, and are living comfortable lives, essentially, debt free (one has no mortgage, while the other has a small mortgage). Buying a 911 would not be a stretch for either son…but have better things to spend their money on, besides over-priced cars.

Yea, college grads that pick the right vocation, can make good money.

Well, regardless of who can attain it - one of the most expensive hypercars in the world has full gone analog for the tach/speed. i hope it starts a trend.

+ 1

A few Spike’s Car Radio episodes back they were discussing exactly this and Jonny Lieberman stated that we were going to see upper echelon automobiles bring back analog gauges as the clientele for then greatly prefer them to digital just like how they prefer high-end analog watches as well.

well, just repeated what I remembered heard them saying but does it really matter what it’s called? What you call it? Super cars are sports cars in my mind too.

Personally to me it’s a cars and coffee flex car for a very wealthy individual. Goes fast in a straight line and leather everywhere
Something like a AMG One is a car I consider a sports car. Just my opinion.
