Sorry, I can't help but laugh when someone says that these YouTube reviewers are "paid" when they disagree with their opinion. They are usually the people who are the first to post up multiple YouTube reviews as evidence to back up one of their points when they line up.
The bottom line is that YouTube reviewers are no more paid than traditional print journalists were / are, and in this day and age, there is probably less tomfoolery going on because anything dirty is instantly outed. The problem is that every single reviewer, ever, is biased. No matter how hard they try to be impartial, their background, likes and dislikes will almost ALWAYS show through in their review. And in this day and age, that's not really even discouraged, and people confuse reviewer's "opinions" for "truth". The truth is that every car is a compromise, every car has it's strong points and weak points, and how all of those combine with your specific needs will greatly influence your opinion of the car. Like someone else mentioned, Mark from Savagegeese is a JDM boy at heart and loves free revving engines, turbos, and more pure cars while his counterpart Jack just really loves power and a balanced chassis and DGAF how the power is made. Matt from Smoking Tire appreciates a super fast car but is of the opinion that once it's fast enough to scare the hell out of yourself on the Canyons, anything more is really too much. And etc.
So no, these guys are not paid clowns. Most of the info they get is from the press kit and the shoddy ones just repeat that, but Savagegeese at least try to go well beyond that and interview people from the development team to get deeper into the how and why certain things came to be the way that they are. Others, like Matt @ Smoking Tire, don't do that, but either don't repeat verbatim from the press pack, or call attention to specific points that matter, or call BS where the manufacturer tries too hard to wave the marketing magic wand over something less than optimal.
The problem is that if you don't regularly watch any of these outlets and take their review as a first timer, you don't recognize their bias, patterns, or delivery style. Just like I read every episode of Car and Driver and Road and Track growing up and could tell you reliably how Paul Frere, Dennis Simiantis, Peter Egan, Joe Rusz, Csabe Csere, Pat Bedard, Brock Yates, Rich Ceppos, etc. would approach an article, so to does every YouTuber have their own style. Much of it is just crap, but the bigger outlets or more reputable guys do have a style of reviewing.
So the facts are what they are. The hybrid GTS is a spectacular technological achievement that is faster with less pollution and a small weight gain vs. the 992.1 GTS. Whether that particular formula is of interest to you depends entirely on you, but does not change what the car actually is.
If Youtube reviewers are "paid clowns" what does that make the denizens of Rennlist?
Also looks like that lugano blue example has the new dark night blue leather interior which basically looks super dark gray almost black.
I still can't get over how much of the front radiators are completely exposed and visible with no protection whatsoever. Porsche really did everything they could to maximize profits with this design...
all the YouTube reviews so far seem extremely positive so I went to build one...$240K for a pts Targa GTS ..
no bueno..will keep my garage as is...I'm not even sure how to buy another P-car at these price adjustments..
How? Special color, leather, all the tech options, all the performance options, 18-ways, comes out to like 178 (my spec)! 992.2 GTS is value as long as you don’t go crazy with the money grab items like PTS, CCBs, and all the other random customizations.
oh sorry I missed that you were trying to spec a Targa. Yea those are priceeey

ypu need to study your history of Water cooled 911’s better. 997, 991 as well all have super exposed radiators. 981 and 718 as well. Just search for threads on removing front bumpers to clean debris, damage, etc. Why do you think Rennline and Zunsport mesh grilles are so popular?
Also, my 997 Turbo had Sea Blue leather which looked like black from outside but not inside. So don’t judge by this picture.

Bought my wife a 2024 Cayenne a few months ago, and it's the same deal there. Plus it appears to have the same vertical slats the 911 GTS comes with, so I guess we should have seen the direction they were heading a while back.

I've held the "dark night blue" leather samples at the dealer showroom and it's a bit mind boggling to me why even offer it bc it essentially looks like a faded black.
Graphite blue offered much more of a difference over black

For what it's worth.....I've owned most of those.....never had an issue.
