Tuners beg to differ, but manufacturers must tow the line to avoid after sales service issues that they would be on the hook for within the warranty period.

Incorrect, the manual can't handle the torque - at least to Porsche's internal specifications for long-term reliability. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...-classic-test/

And yes, it is because of the MT torque rating. It’s not because tuners tap in the reliability margin that Porsche is willing to do so.

Exactly. If you frequently drive in areas where Roadsise assistance or AAA can't tow you to a Porsche Dealership you should probably carry a renntorq or hytorq tool in your car so you can take the wheel off and let the shop patch the tire.

And how often are you people getting flats? You must also have go bags in case of the zombie apocalypse. 🤣
Great. Now I know I jinxed myself.

I don’t care about a flat, I’m an expert at rope plugs while on the road. Don’t even take the wheel off the car. That’ll at least get me to a big city.
I have over a million miles in my lifetime, and I’ve yet to experience a catastrophic blowout where the entire sidewall is missing.

In 14 years of law enforcement experience thus far, never once have I ever come across a Porsche sitting on cinder blocks. I haven’t ever even taken a stolen vehicle report on a Porsche. It’s a rare occurrence to have a Porsche targeted by the common thugs. Now a Honda, Toyota, etc…..? Yeah, cinder blocks ALL DAY LONG. In fact, in the middle of my patrol area, which is replete with Hispanic gangs linked to the cartels, there’s a business that rents high end sports cars. I see multiple GT3’s, etc. on that lot every day. None of the criminals ever bother those Porsches.
