Does anyone know if there's a ship bound for the northeast US this coming week? My build was just completed and is on its way to Emden (a few days ahead of schedule).
Odd… as a dealer typically has the manufacturer statement of origin (MSO) prior to the arrival of the car. FYI, they receive it once the car has been invoiced.
Edit: Process = Vehicle departs port -> Vehicle is invoiced -> Vehicle is in dealer inventory.
Interesting. Sales guy said it would take 3-5 business days and that mine would be coming with a batch this morning. Can't pick up until Monday though.

Generally this is never a deterrent for any dealership to not let the vehicle proceed with the owner upon arrival as it typically takes a few weeks for the seller dealer’s title clerk to physically go do ttt with the clerks office anyways.
FYI, The least amount of time a new vehicle sits in dealer inventory the better it is in regards to future allocations.

They wouldn't for some reason. I was available to pick it up the last 2 days. They got 15+ 911s recently so maybe they don't care about the allocations bc they sell a lot anyway.
My experience is that the certificate of origin which is needed for a license plate takes a couple days to arrive after the vehicle and then the plate takes another couple days….but I suspect the plate process is dependent on what state you’re in

They (dealer) all care about allocations irregardless of how many they sell.
BTW, I grant you the dealer principal cares.
Edit: My last 992 purchase was in early 2024. I took delivery on the day of arrival. This has been the same practice at multiple BMW dealerships as well.
Oh well, the matter is clearly beyond your control.

Looks like I missed the boat yet again….pretty frustrating.
I missed Aristotle today, hoping for supreme Ace on 1st. Technically they can still make the ultra-revised and extended 7/30 TYD shows now, but I’m not holding my breath…
