Default Exhaust recs for 992 C2 GTS

I’ve done some searches to formulate a view and want to make sure I’m not missing anything:
- I am a first time 911 owner with a 2024 C2 GTS coupe manual (so has factory PSE)
- I’d like the car to be a little bit louder/sportier, but not looking for obnoxiously loud and don’t want drones
- I want to preserve the valved optionality
- this is a weekend driver and I don’t track the car
- based on above, I’m thinking of doing Akra titanium slip on exhaust with Cargraphic controller - do you agree this is the best route or should I consider something else? (for what I’m looking for, I’m assuming just exhaust switch and keeping factory cats is okay?)

The akra+cargraphic is a good combo. Seems it meets your goal. I do hear sport cats gives you better sound. This thread should be good.

I'd start with the Cargraphic first; you may find it enough. After that there are many good cat back options that would work. As is always mentioned in these types of posts, YouTubee searches and Flat6 exhaust series is a good start, but I think one needs to hear them in person to really appreciate the results and differences. Cars and Coffee for that.

Kline has really great alternatives in both Stainless and Inconel, we carry both and have been popular for 992s

Yes just do the relatively cheap cargraphic controller first and you’ll find that the PSE-valves open sounds pretty throaty, loud, and aggressive. More than enough for most people’s needs. Controller with an Akra or JCR titanium exhaust is the absolute endgame though.

Our best selling combo will be the Akrapovic slip on + Soul sport cats. No CEL. sounds fantastic too.

We have other options as well.

Feel free to contact us!

I did an iPE cat-back at a fraction of the price of others mentioned. Fit was great and so is the sound. This is a non-complicated part that you really don't see so *for me* spending only $1750 was a great option and could be changed if I didn't like it. To each their own, but when I pulled up for service at the dealer the car runner wanted to know what I had on because it was one of the better he had heard. YMMV.

I’m a fan of no cats paired with the sport exhaust - that’s what I’m running.

Thank you. Now you’ve got me thinking about this more economic route. I’m unlikely to be sophisticated enough to hear the difference between any of these top quality aftermarket exhausts - I just don’t want any droning. Could be a case of 80-90% comparable to other exhausts but at half the cost. Is your iPE the SS or titanium model?

I’m also now realizing that I’m starting a process to effectively try to upgrade my GTS (with aerokit) into a “daily/street driveable” GT3 - from looks/performance perspective. GT3 isn’t a great fit since I don’t track and I love having the rear seats for the kids. At the risk of high jacking my own thread, any other reasonable upgrades to consider in addition to the exhaust setup?…

Stainless. I can't say I notice any drone but in reality any of them can have some at certain RPMs. In my estimation, drone is most likely to happen at certain highway or steady RPM situations. In those situations one should either close the valves through the cargraphic module or switch PSE off. Both would squelch the drone. Again, I don't notice any on mine and I'm very pleased with my choice and results.
