Porsche anti-theft
Reading a lot of stories in the news lately about fob cloning of keyless entry systems - and I am wondering how vulnerable the Porsche system is to this?

Curious as well. Doesn’t seem you can lock the car with the lock button on door which is annoying. I only tested this once so may be wrong there.
They have sleeves to keep your keys in which helps from amplifying the signal. I also just added some locks to my garage door so if my garage signal is stolen they still can’t open it from the outside.

That doesn't prevent someone from stealing the car. And these days, law enforcement doesn't even pursue auto thefts anymore as they are "victimless" crimes.
Can you disable the keyless/fobless door opening features on this car?

To ensure that the vehicle cannot be unlocked and started by unauthorised third parties, the Comfort Access functions can be deactivated temporarily using the driver's key.
- Press the and the button simultaneously until the pilot light on the driver's key lights up continuously.
Deactivation is confirmed when the pilot light on the driver's key lights up continuously.

Manual has saved me from theft in the past. They got my watches and guns though.

Just toss your keys in a Faraday box or key pouch when you’re home. They are trying to repeat a signal from the key which many people leave hanging by their front door. Just happened to one of my employees 2 weeks ago. They stole his F150 and his neighbors Range Rover which were parked in their driveways.

Another reason to park your car in a garage.

Yep. In Florida we don’t have basements so non-car people just use their garage for storage and park their cars outside. And now that even entry level cars have these keyless access systems, a lot more thefts are happening. Lady in our neighborhood had her Audi Q5 stolen like this from her driveway at 10am on a Saturday morning when she was home. I tell all my friends that park outside to use a faraday box and keep their keys on the other side of the house.
I’m curious to see how manufacturers will combat this.

This issue is sweeping the US and even Canada - I've read about the high rates of thefts in Toronto. And insurance rates are skyrocketing.
