I feel like i read somewhere that the stock limited valve opening from 1k-4k had something to do with the need to generate pressure for better turbo spool. So is it purely for sound control or is there a performance benefit to stock valves? Honestly, unless is a major factor...I'm opening those valves as soon as i get my car (this summer). These cars sound so good already...pretty sure more is always better 😂. Thanks for all the input and advice for us newbies!

A turbocharger will almost always perform better with less restriction downstream of it. Seems this is a commonly held myth.
My two cents.

This sound clip is with an aftermarket exhaust (iPE) and you can hear the big difference for yourself. The same would hold true for any center, just a little difference in tone I would think.

I have the Cargraphic and it does a good job. Truthfully you won't notice it at highway speeds as it makes the most difference in traffic.
I contemplated an iPE or JCR or other exhaust, but I am still considering swapping on an OEM Aerokit, and the cost of that, I don't want to do the exhaust too.

I did the other way around...exhaust first, wing later. wing is mostly for looks from outside, exhaust you enjoy when sitting inside and driving more than a wing.

I did not get it and I don’t think you need it. The Akra provides a more aggressive , raspier sound profile. I have a Cabriolet, so I hear it very well. Suggest you test it out first before adding more.

On the dyno, we see a small lower RPM dip in power when the exhaust is fully opened up. We haven't measured turbo manifold pressure or turbo RPM but just observed when they are fully open systems they produce a slightly smaller HP/TQ output at lower RPMs. The mid range and higher RPM gains make it worth it to us but just a general observation.

Another great option for improved HP, turbo spool, and minimal drone is our new GT2RS style exits for the Carrera.
No tune is required, no CEL is guaranteed! It was one of our most popular setups on the Turbo, so we wanted to carry it over to all 992 owners.
Certainly worth a look
