There isn’t a lug bolt lock that will keep thieves from wheels. You park your car in a secured location, and for all other times when you can’t, that’s why you carry insurance. Car insurance asks if you have LoJack, active alarms, etc., but they never ask if your car has lug bolt locks, because they are worthless.

Congrats on your gorgeous new car! I love the pop of the shark blue, but I was told that the color has now been discontinued so I won't be able to copy yours on my order.

All 3.0T motors seem to have it to a certain degree and it's much more pronounced in the T.

I agree about the volume. I think the stock exhaust in sport mode is perfection. GT3 is good for about 3 hrs. I've done 14 hours straight on the T and even that gets tiring because the cabin is loud but I last much longer.
I had a 991.2 C2 GTS coupe and I prefer the 992.1 T sound quite a bit more. The combination works really nicely for the sound for me.

The 992.1 T 7000+ rpm does sound kinda like the GT3. It is strange but seems that way to me (I am not using any sound measurements to analyze).

Across the 991.1 R, 991.2 GT3T, and 992.1 GT3T (the more similar cars to the 992.1 T), I have over 12,000 miles. I still have the 992.1 GT3T.

Porsche has a long history of delivering performance numbers that seem tough to achieve given the peak power output number. Area under the power curve, gear ratios, good traction, and relatively lightweight all help.

i think there is a big difference in sound compared to the gt3. however, i like the sound of my 4s at 5k+ especially at slower speeds. get to hear a bit more of the mechanical noises over the exhaust.

Looking at that interior made me wonder why you didn't peel the protective film off the aluminum trim. Then I realized it's painted. Every time I look at it, I see protective film. lol.

If you get a chance, see if you can experience a T. I suspect the T combination makes some difference.

Of course, it is not a GT3 but there is something pretty wonderful about the T sound quality.

If I get inspired, I might do some audio spectrum analysis to see. But I probably prioritize just driving and enjoying them.

Are you talking about the lower passenger side of the display? Funny enough, I might not have peeled it off my GT3T as well. I mainly focus on “get in and drive as many fun miles as I can”. The next priority is caring for the cars as best as possible.

I took delivery on Friday and have put 300 fun miles on it already. Try not to be upset by this, I think the T delivers 90+% of the GT3T joy 95+% of the time on the street.

The biggest surprise for me has been how amazing it sounds. Of course, the redline is lower. However, the intake and exhaust sounds really great. The tone and volume changes with throttle opening, load, and rpm. The last few hundred rpm before redline is sort of GT3T like!

For my use, the 23.7 gallon fuel tank adds to my enjoyment. I cannot resist the carbon fiber roof. I would have loved the PCCB if it was available. Other than not going with the bucket seats and having LEDs, I went for a simple and lightweight spec. When I get the car on a scale, I will share the weight (mostly likely close to a full tank of fuel).

The engine power delivery is tuned very well. This might be one of the best examples of a turbocharged sports cars out there. Great response but not the silly amount of low rpm torque. Power doesn’t fall off. With the great sound, it makes me want to hit the last few hundred rpm before redline over and over again (and I do).
cool.

how so? which gt3? i have driven several gt3's and while i love the 992 3L it is not a GT3, not even close. the 992 3L does have a nice sound but compared to the GT3's ive driven its a different game.

not arguing just asking.
