My 911 has been at the Houston port since 2/5.

Frustrating to see west coast cars being released with port deliveries later than mine. Happy for everyone, still pissed about lack of movement on my car.
My car arrived to Houston on 2/9 (also headed to Dallas) - SA originally told me mid April, but has moved that up to the last week of March now.

At least you don't need to feel alone; there are plenty of us who had cars arrive at Benicia in January, who are still waiting. It doesn't seem like it's a first in first out type of situation...

I just have to keep telling myself I'm lucky that I can be disappointed in long wait times for a new 911...

Default 992 C4s released for transport from Jacksonville port

I just received word that my 2024 C4S has been released from the port in Jacksonville FL! It is headed for Greenville,SC. My SA says it has not had the necessary equipment change done yet. At least it is now on its way! It’s been 2 years since I first attempted to order this car. Here’s hoping it is worth the wait!🤞

My car should be shipped from Emden to Davisville. I do not think there are any more ships bound for Davisville this month, so I am not expecting any good news when he calls.

Nevertheless, since your car was completed a few days after mine, perhaps the info on my car will give you an idea about what is going on with yours.
I got an update that my car should ship from Emden to Davisville at the end of this month.

According to the Davisville Berthing Schedule, there are five VW/Audi carriers arriving at Davisville in April.
  1. SFL Composer on Friday, Apr 5, 2024
  2. Supreme Ace on Monday, Apr 8, 2024
  3. Emden on Tuesday, Apr 9, 2024
  4. Siem Aristotle on Thursday, Apr 11, 2024
  5. Supreme Ace on Saturday, Apr 13, 2024

For those waiting for their cars to ship at the end of this month, it looks like Siem Aristotle or Supreme Ace may be the boats you get loaded onto, and they may arrive on the 11th or 13th of next month, respectively.

Check all surrounding area mentioned above for any potential damage, scratches before you take delivery.
My SA spoke to a tech who recently completed replacement of the gateway module, and he relayed to me that the module is located in the front left or right footwell area, above the feet. He said no trim parts needed to be removed to access the module.
I am not sure how accurate this relayed information is.

However, I did a random internet search for a gateway module for the 992, and this is what I turned up.
Is this the correct part ("Gateway Control Unit" with part number 99761010704) ?
Does anyone have a schematic or diagram showing where this part goes in the car?

same situation/port as you (911 arrived 2/5 in Houston). SA says 3/29 is date in system for arrival at dealer, but he has no real faith in that date. Just a waiting game for now.

Very glad to hear that cars are being released! Happy for those that have seen some forward progress. My GT3 Touring, however, is still sitting at the port of Jacksonville where is has been since 12/26. Dealer has been able to provide no update, whatsoever.

Benicia CA release and at dealer today (port late Jan). Pickup early next week after detail. Nice to see the Targa top and bar well covered. My wife is super excited on the Ruby Star Neo color, looks stunning.

Just received an email update from Porsche: "Your vehicle has left the German port." This means my C2S, manufacturing complete date 2/7, is likely on the Glovis Companion ready to sail from Emden to Benicia; ETA: 4/9.

For reference, this schedule is in-line with what my SA told me at the Change Freeze Point - i.e., I’ve experienced no substantial delays thus far. I did not receive the email from Porsche about the component issue. This is another data point indicating 911s with February manufacturing dates may not be impacted by the control unit issue.

@Jeff Whitten , happy for you. Curious - did your dealer let you know beforehand / did you see any change via TYD, or did you learn from the dealer after the car arrived there?

Wondering if dealers know in advance what will be showing up and when, or if they are just having cars fall into their laps / carriers scheduled as they are processed...

This is great news! Conformation that Glovis Companion IS going to Benicia! My C2S was completed on 2/5 and is waiting for a boat in Emden. I have yet to receive any news that I'm on Glovis Companion. I'v been checking since she docked in Emden yesterday, I did not get much sleep last night as I was checking the app and my email

So, for those in the SF Bay Area who missed the Glovis Companion, our next opportunity is Jiuyang Blossom and that has a departure date of 3/23. It is scheduled to make a few extra stops which increasing the time at sea just over 30 days.
.
.
3/23 - Embed, Germany
4/9 - Santa Marta, Colombia
4/14 - Manta,Ecuador (highlighted in blue, so they could skip this if there's isn't any vehicles heading to this port, I think)
4/26 - Benicia, California

(1) If they skip Manta, Ecuador that might reduce by 3 to 5 days (just guessing on my part as it's south of the Panama Canal)
(2) Could there be another vessel between Glovis Companion and Jiuyang Blossom heading to Benicia, California?
