My SA will call me on Monday with an update, so I will share with you guys.
Which port is your car destined for?
My car should be shipped from Emden to Davisville. I do not think there are any more ships bound for Davisville this month, so I am not expecting any good news when he calls.
Nevertheless, since your car was completed a few days after mine, perhaps the info on my car will give you an idea about what is going on with yours.

I believe it was big mess by customs and they did not considers how that action would affect consumers.
well now all cars are moving to dealers to replace that ship at dealers, that is great.
How would customs confirm wither the part was really replaced at dealers or not?
Pragmaticly, I do not see any point of what has happened lately, except the delay affcted consumers caused by customs.

As much as it sucks having our cars delays, it’s a first world problem.

Enforcement will mostly be the honor system at the individual vehicle level, and I'm sure somebody at VW will certify to the feds that it was done, provide records etc. and you do not want to misrepresent this to the Feds as that is when the real fun would start. There may be some type of audit.
I'd love to know the ramifications through VW's supply chain. Some Tier 3 was quickly cutoff and may write a check.

In fact most of us bitch about that department, but mainly because we don’t understand the consequences that could result from the actions taken.
I work in Fortune 500 company and anytime we get push back for doing things, the answer comes back to “legal won’t let us” or “compliance won’t approve it.”
I have followed up with those departments in many cases once I hear the “why” behind their decision, it typically makes sense.
OK, back on topic, Where are our cars!! lol

Jeff - just learned this afternoon from my local dealer that 3 cars were received from Benicia this weekend - they have been at that port since late January - they arrived with the replacement module already installed and ready to deliver to clients.

A week ago, I know that Walnut Creek received 1 (3RS) , and Marin received 1 as well (Targa).
