Unless you just can't deal with the non-leather inserts on the front seats.

overall it was a frustrating experience and I went in thinking none GT car shouldn’t be a problem
Congrats on the T! Long Beach quoted me $20k for a GTS back in November. A lot were (like Rusnak) quoting $30k for a GTS. I agreed to $7500 for my second C2.

I feel like this guys quote random ADM's to different customers. It was in November they quoted me 16k and ready to submit the order. BUT ADM + TAX and that feels like I am getting screwed territory.

Click the box for ventilated seats and the T gets leather seat bottoms.

Just went through the configurator and that is true. However, doing the Pepsi Challenge between the T and S (as I'd equip mine), there's only an $8500 difference, and the rear wiper ain't an option. Well, that and the extra 64 h.p. (and a couple of other stupid checked boxes).

So many choices… 😵‍💫🫣

I just locked my build yesterday, and same as with the last one, I’m already having second thoughts…

I want all the models in all the colors! 😅

I’m going to take the 2024 allocation. I can always trade the car in for the 992.2 at a later date. Or I’ll just keep the car and enjoy it. Thanks all for your comments.

It’s nice that your dealer was willing to wait five days for you to decide, instead of simply offering the allocation to the next person in line. For what it’s worth, I think you made a good decision— I made the same decision myself. Good luck!

Got a call from dealer #2 today and offered an allocation for a 992.1 C4S, May build slot at MSRP. Seems like allocations are popping up here and there, and the multi-year wait times are starting to go away.......

I'm not sure what the 992.2 will bring us, yet the 992.1 will be a great addition to my garage and I'm sure will provide many miles of smiles. A bird in the hand is worth 3 in the tree these days.....

What this guy said! Bird in hand my man!

Best choice also...taking what is in offered and in front of you...vs waiting for what MAY be there OR may not! Congrats!

Best choice likely my friend. You can always sell it back to same said dealer and have them put you on the "list" for the 992.2 they're obviously and likely to already have! In the meantime in between time as they say enjoy the car when it arrives and wait till it does get here. Remember none of us is guaranteed tomorrow so why not....you are blessed and privledged to have the opportunity to get the car...it won't be there forever as neither will any of us...that is the one certainty on these forums and in life gents/gals!

Yes but that maybe his market in that 48-72hrs was okay...and the next guy said the same "let me think" so he got lucky and got the car. Congrats OP either way. You'll not regret it!

A song from my youth by the Grass Roots:

One, two, three, four
Shah-la, la-la-la-la, live for today
Shah-la, la-la-la-la, live for today
And don't worry 'bout tomorrow, ay-ay-ay
Shah-la, la-la-la-la live for today (live for today)

What is the best time to negotiate the price or for a few freebies? The lock-in date is March 2024. Delivery is expected in May 2024. I doubt they would go below MSRP but I could ask. Perhaps they would throw in a free car seat or maintenance?

They aren't going to throw in a $500 car seat or free mainenance.

You'd be lucky if they gave you clear corners or all weather floormats.
